Forum: general Subject: Acct locked no email warning or saying why

How come an account would be locked and uploads go missing? >100 hours were wasted on uploads. Are the uploads moved? Are the uploads in limbo? Uploads were from many sources and had old dates so its confusing.

How can anyone learn with no email warning from Archive Org? Is that a good way to treat members who donate money to Archive Org?

Thanks for a return post or email.

Did you perhaps recently change the account's email? If so, there's an extra step you need to do before it works again:

If not then click on that link anyway, and follow the instructions on the section called "Why is my account locked?"

By the way, email has been sent asking why. Waiting.

Thank you. Email is unchanged. The uploads page is blank. All uploads are gone. Here is a link to one upload (1878 so public domain):

Link does not work, nor do all the others I have saved. They've ALL disappeared without any warning or notification.

How does anyone learn what to not do in the future. I am not a mind reader.

Forum: general Subject: Hundreds of public domain PDF's are missing on Archive Org

Hundreds of my uploads are missing on Archive Org. Will someone please care enough to advise why this happened?

These are all pre-1928, so they are all public domain without any question or issues. Here are a few sample links.

Public Domain from the 1870's:

I'm still waiting on this. People have asked me why the public domain documents (hundreds) are now missing, and I have zero answers other than, "I keep sending them emails, and they keep ignoring them."

Will someone give me a clue? My email is still the same. I try to log in, and get "account locked." My uploads are zero. Link is below.

Thank you for any help offered to make this nightmare go away. How long does a donating member have to wait? Why no email notices? Why? Please, tell me as I'm not a mind reader.

I've spent hundreds of hours editing and uploading hundreds of documents (many multiple postings) all for naught. What went wrong? Please, someone tell me. Please.

Please stop ignoring my emails to "info@."

I have the same issue as you,it's been a month since my account has been locked. With these massive locks they are doing, this isn't anymore Internet Archive since their goal to preserve history appears to be losing now.

Forum: general Subject: Failing Biz Plan? Lack of grant $$ & donations?

Thanks for the insight. It's much appreciated.

So, if someone posts one "iffy" document, an entire account's uploads are ALL taken down? Is that really the logic being used? If it is... I'm guessing "overwhelmed employees."

If so, maybe it's time to rethink the biz plan. No one wants ads, and apparently the needed donations and grants aren't coming in, so... perhaps it's time for changes no one wants to see made... like ads. It'd be a dark day, but something seems to be needed decision-wise.

Of course, that's assuming I'm allowed to express empathy or an opinion here. If not...
