Forum: general Subject: Even more spam reviews

This time user StephanieManning20 is to blame: leaving behind a link that I assume is a scam or some type of spam in every review they've posted. Not sure if the link triggers automatically if you scroll down a certain duration or not, but that has happened in the past with other users who did something similar, so do watch out until then.

Here are all of the items they've left the offending spammy reviews:

Forum: general Subject: Root issues -- WARNING: 1st Amendment allowed soapboxing

The root issue is that members cannot delete reviews from their uploads. Further, the reviews file cannot be deleted or modified by the uploader (seen in Edit & Change Files).

I've been told "don't delete and reupload a document as that wastes processing power" but what else can a member do if they're not allowed to delete reviews, or delete the file containing reviews?

It seem to be time to reconsider what rights a member has over their uploads. If I upload something, I should have the right to modify it as I see fit. Otherwise I'll delete it, and reupload it. Obviously, that's assuming my account hasn't be improperly locked, and that's another ongoing issue in need of attention here.

Sorry to soapbox, but it's called The First Amendment. Sorry that's inconvenient here to any admin. Further, as a donor who has even considered adding Archive Org to his will, I'd appreciate not hearing once again, "go elsewhere if you don't like it" from the admin. That's a bit beyond their authority, or should be.

Thanks for listening to an exercise in Free Speech.
