[8.0] "Although there have been some weak runs, the AEW World Tag Team Championship has gifted the wrestling world with some of the greatest tag team matches of all time. Young Bucks vs. Hangman/Omega, FTR vs. BC Gold, Acclaimed vs. Swerve in Our Glory, ReDragon vs. Jungle Express vs. Young Bucks, and on an on. Even in weak runs like FTR's latest run there are still and handful of really special matches. It's the title that represents what I believe is the greatest tag team division in wrestling's history. As of now, I'd say it's an 8 and it is the most prestigious tag title in wrestling today."

[5.0] "These titles used to mean something, but since Jurassic Express won these belts last year they've truly been on the decline. They picked up again with popular champions The Acclaimed, but once again they have fallen off and been awarded to undeserving champions in the Gunn Club. The fatal 4 way at Revolution shows how much they have fallen off with challengers like Danhausen and Orange Cassidy. - this belt has only got less important, FTR have cooled off a lot since last summer when they over and they had a poor choice of opponents for their first PPV defence Update FTR have somewhat redeemed these belts again, but they have their limits. I have enjoyed most of what they've done so far, but they've lacked good storylines."
Moose Nugget wrote on 29.01.2024:
[4.0] "This title has been disappointing in its short lifespan so far, with strange teams holding it like Swerve In Our Glory or Big Bill & Ricky Starks. As much as people loved them The Acclaimed and The Gunns were not ready to lead a division in a national promotion. What The Young Bucks did on the indies failed to translate on a large stage as well. Plus FTR's reigns were also very disappointing. I don't think anyone had a really good reign with the title, and all we got were some great matches here and there."
djones06 wrote on 14.01.2024:
[7.0] "Not what they used to be, but the overall pedigree keeps this rating above satisfactory. Swerve/Lee had some good matches and a nice underlying tension throughout most of their reign, and the Acclaimed came into their title reign red hot. But the Gunns winning was a real head scratcher until you realized they were just transitional champions for FTR. FTR's second reign had some great matches, but they were isolated from most of the division. Big Bill and Starks epitomize the problem with the division currently: two dudes thrown together for something to do instead of top tier tag teams battling it out for the belts."

"I am the biggest fan of tag team wrestling (which is why I started watching AEW, ) but these titles give me so much pain. Can these belts ever really recover from the missed opportunities of 2022? The booking back then told me that AEW does not see their tag titles on the same level as their other world titles, nevertheless on the same level as the NJPW, ROH and AAA divisions. I would think AEW would feel their belts are superior and maybe that's why it worked out the way it did, but the booking of 2023 showed otherwise. Barely active tag teams getting unwarranted title shots over a 3rd BCG vs FTR match was what killed last year for me. Hoping they can fix it, but it's looking very grim."

[2.0] "The state of this title as it is at this point in time is a shame and a red flag for the state of the tag division. AEW started out so strong with a great and dynamic tag division and now its completely incoherent. I would love to rate this title based on its entire history but cant do that while the booking disrespects it as much as it does now. I hope to come back to adjust this rating in a year or so and see the tag team division being repaired."
Bigboys401 wrote on 06.10.2023:
[9.0] "I thought this was the best match on the show on a rather ok show from a working perspective. All in as a whole was an awesome show but the matches overall were just ok, with the exception of this one, this match was great. These two teams put on a match that we have become a custom to when they work together. Mixing the traditional style of FTR with the fast paced style of the Bucks made for an exciting match, the ending sequence where FTR hit a huge Shatter machine for the win was spectacular."
charliefiction wrote on 03.10.2023:
[9.0] "Still the most prestigious tag title in pro wrestling even if its influence/relevance on AEW programming has waned very slightly in 2023. It won't take much for it to be resurrected with the quality of the tag division, and the defenses of this title on AEW PPVs still represent the apex of tag team wrestling worldwide."
benh2 wrote on 24.08.2023:
[5.0] "The most bipolar of titles in the entire company. There have been extended periods where they feel less important than the 24/7 title and then they get the belts on the right team at the right time and suddenly all the matches are must see for a while and you think it can become a cornerstone of the company, but then they go and put them back on a midcard team that mean nothing in storylines that make no sense. There's a common theme in AEW with titles that are incapable of being booked well and this one is no exception."

coppercowries wrote on 18.04.2023:
[8.0] "Despite the hiccups in booking sometimes, these titles are consistently presented as highly valued and desirable. The first several tag team champions were all solid and featured some phenomenal matches, if not always as focused on proper feuds as I would've liked. Booking weakened noticeably once Tony had to veer from his obvious intention of strapping up the Hardys for one last nostalgia run, and gave the Bucks a transitional reign onto SIOG. SIOG tried, but their reign was unfortunately overshadowed by more popular teams. The Acclaimed were absolutely the most beloved, over champions that the belts have had, but their reign lacked a genuinely high-tier feud, eventually having them drop the titles prematurely, IMO, so that the Gunns could transition the belts to the returning FTR. Perhaps FTR can restore heat to the belts, that remains to be seen."

Wright15 wrote on 19.06.2022:
[10.0] "The AEW tag team title did not get off to the best start at its conception, largely due to the head-scratching decision to not make the Young Bucks the inaugural champions, and instead put the belts on a good but hardly outstanding team. However, ever since then, the tag titles have been held by only the top teams in the promotion, and the matches for the belts are at least awesome half the time. They are the most well-booked tag titles today and easily the most prestigious, which is fitting for a company that features easily the best tag team division in the world."
tsdenizen wrote on 02.06.2022:
[10.0] "Easily the most prestigious tag titles in the world by virtue of having the best tag division in the world. Not a single bad pair of champions and it looks like we're not going to have to worry about that anytime soon. So many classic matches already too. And they look great! These rule."

LivingLegend wrote on 24.03.2022:
[6.0] "I have soured on this title recently, and it's because of how awful the booking for this title has been recently. SCU were fine inaugural champs. It was clear as soon as they won them that it would be a transitional reign, and that's fine. Omega and Page had a pretty good reign with frequent defenses, but never really had a story involving the belts. FTR's reign existed exclusively to crown the Young Clowns, which was unfortunate. The Young Bucks at the very least had storylines for most of their title matches, but I still wasn't a fan of the reign. The Lucha Bros unexpectedly won the titles at All Out, and did basically nothing with the belts besides lose all the time. Jurassic Express have not had a single storyline for any of their title matches thus far, and it feels more like a TV mid card title than a prestigious tag team title like it used to. It's unfortunate but this title has really had a fall from grace every since FTR dropped the belts."

[6.0] "I had this title at a 9, it was once the best booked Tag Division and Tag Title in all of wrestling... and how the mighty have fallen. FTR's reign was too short just to put over The Young Bucks, The Buck's reign was way too long and not good, Lucha Bros were booked terribly as champs and lost all the time and I don't have much faith in Jurassic Express being much better because the reign is already falling into the same issues. This title has moved away from dedicated #1 contenders with stories to spamming defenses like a TV Title. The fall of this title has hurt to see. I hope one day AEW can redeem it back to its former glory."
Muggo wrote on 11.01.2022:

However, I think there should be more title changes, especially with the enormous Tag Team roster that they have. I was genuinely surprised that Jericho & MJF failed to win these (even if it was only for a week or two) more title changes please! [Edit] Lowering score as they are... a little too Elite haha... seriously though can these not get changed a little more often? especially to people who aren't VPs... ? pretty please... ?"

My favorite spot from the match is when Kazarian hit Nick with a german suplex and Matt came off the top rope on to them. As well as the Styles Clash which was a nod to there old TNA chum AJ Styles. 10/10. The 2021 Young Bucks are goated"
