Hello fellow osu! enjoyers,
osu!gaming CTF will be the first ever capture-the-flag competition that merges the world of cybersecurity with osu!. To those of you who do not know CTF, it is a computer security jeopardy competition where teams solve challenges to get points. The event will happen from Mar 1 to Mar 3 with a duration of 48 hours. Prizes include osu! socks and supporters for top finishing teams.
All challenges in the event will be themed around osu!. Even if you have no clue about cyber security, osu!gaming CTF offers a lot of beginner-friendly challenges for everyone - no prior knowledge of computer science is required to solve them. We hope that the CTF offers a fun learning experience and exposure for both communities.
I do want to provide some backstory here. As a player from 2014 and former Beatmap Nominator, I'm a big fan of osu!, and I'm also a competitive info-security CTF enjoyer (I founded one of the top CTF teams internationally). Some friends and I who love both osu! and cybersecurity wanted to combine the two and host an osu!-inspired cybersecurity event. So we decided to host our own CTF and make osu!-themed challenges for people to get introduced into the field.
Looking forward to everyone participating! Join our Discord Server for more info.
