kono ya zashiki wa medetai zashiki
The parlor of this house is an auspicious parlor [^2]

tsuru to kame to ga arya mai asobu
The crane and tortoise cavort [^3]


三、甚句踊らば　品良く踊れ　（チョイサノサッサ　チョイサノサッサ）
jinku odoraba shina yoku odore
If you're going to dance jinku, dance with grace [^4]

　　品の良いのを　アリャ嫁にとる　（チョイサノサッサ　チョイサノサッサ）
shina no yoi no o arya yome ni toru
The most graceful will become my bride [^5]


四、めでたうれしや　思ふことかのうた　（チョイサノサッサ　チョイサノサッサ）
medeta ureshi ya omou koto kanouta
How auspicious, how happy I am, my dream came true

　　四つのすみから　アリャ黄金わく　（チョイサノサッサ　チョイサノサッサ）
yotsu no sumi kara arya kogane waku
Gold springs from the four corners


五、甚句踊りの　江刺の里は　（チョイサノサッサ　チョイサノサッサ）
jinku odori no esashi no sato wa
Esashi the village of jinku dance

　　味がじまんの　アリャ米どころ　（チョイサノサッサ　チョイサノサッサ）
aji ga jiman no arya kome dokoro
Is famous for its flavorful rice
