Each addon is offered individually, and only if it's applicable to that product. These add-ons will help to make your knives more practical & handy for use, with added features and functions. We have tried our best to provide these addons at the most reasonable rate. Though KHHI started this as an experimental service, overwhelming feedback and orders have motivated us to introduce more add-ons regularly. If you still believe we can offer something new, just let us know, KHHI always has been on your voice.

Carrying a kukri/knife properly is as important as having the right blade for the right purpose. You need to carry it comfortably in your body so that the knife can be operated effectively. Keeping the same thing in mind, KHHI Nepal has introduced the “Dual Frog (V+H carry)” that lets you carry in both ways, Vertically and Horizontally, in any part of the body in the waist level. As seen in the images, you can carry either in vertical and horizontal position whichever is most comfortable for you. Moreover there is a Strap Button in the frog that secures the handle within the frog and stabilize the blade. This completely prevents the knife from wobbling even in fast motion. Hence a “Dual frog” is an important add-ons to have in a knife for a safe and successful assignment.

3x1 actually defines the blade profile of the knife where the length of the blade is 3 inch and the width (widest) is 1 inch. Its thickness is around 4mm. On the other hand, it has a 3 inch long rosewood handle finely crafted for easy and effective performance that gives a very sturdy grip. The blade shape is forged typical that is very useful and applicable for all kinds of precision and minor cutting works. The blade has full flat grinding executed for deep and fine cuts. 3x1 Supporting knife makes an outstanding back up knife to help you in any small cutting activities and even in survival situations.

It’s a special kind of sheath that was generally used in Early Modern to Modern eras and still being widely used today. Almost all the kukri knives were made from the sheath so we thought of giving continuity and keeping the legacy alive.

The maker makes the sheath from a locally treated leather that he painstakingly prepares at his place that requires a fixed process, excessive labor and high level of skill. This special homemade treated leather, the artistic work he does on the sheath and the beauty it reflects make it an exquisite and valuable item than just a mere knife carrier. It makes the whole kukri set a complete artwork of excellent craftsmanship that is there to adore, praise and to own. The sheath is very well done and durable.

NOTE: By default, the sheath comes in Black color. Other colors are also possible but stain issue may come. Please specify your preferred color while ordering.

It has always been ignored (neglected). Now the time has come to change that. Khukuri House KHHI comes up with 2 special add-ons that will give new life and value to the sheath it deserves. With these add-ons to sheath, it is no longer just a mere carrier but also a thing to appreciate and décor an ambient. Both are hand carved that is skillfully done by a goldsmith.
DECORATION TIP: This special carved tip (kothi/chape) covers the tip. It gives a beautiful look.
DECORATION BAND: This artistically hand carved band gives an elegant look to the sheath. It is mounted on the frog and tied at the back.
NOTE: Decoration fixtures may come (on receipt) with various designs other than displayed here in the images. Designs may differ. Frog with lace will be replaced by plain frog to fit this fixture. It is made in either Brass or White metal. We will send the one that suits the default fixture of the handle.

A new product to lineup; small pocket-friendly knife for multipurpose use. The blade is 3 inches long made from 52100 steel with 4mm thickness. The handle is 3.25 inches and wrapped with Leather string / Paracord. The blade is well polished whereas the spine and handle are raw. It weighs only 100 grams. The major attraction of this knife is the cover made from Kydex, carefully designed to keep the owner safe from the knife. The main advantage of having brass fixtures in the handle is its rust free hence very low or no maintenance at all. Brass Bolster and Butt Cap do not rust like its iron counterpart so it gives a hassle free usage. The brass also makes the knife look very attractive and lively. We use an 18-20 gauge (very thick) brass plate to make the fixtures. It is available in limited kukris only. Also watch how brass fixture are made detailed video.

Chisel Tip: Tip of the kukri/knife is grinded in one side only like a chisel in order to make it strong and durable. The outcome is a very powerful tip that can withstand brutal stabbing and even digging.

Ridges in the Handle: Rings and ridges are made all over the handle to provide a non-slippery and very sturdy grip in the handle. It will not only enhance the appropriate holding and comfortable grip but also make the handle look nice.

Black chemical Coat: In order to tackle the rust issue of a high carbon steel BCC (black chemical coat) is offered by KHHI nepal. This prevents the blade from rusting (oxidizing) and gives a fine uniform finishing to the blade. However, the bevel and spine are ignored since these parts get heavy wear and tear and thus the coat might come off.

L-Key set up: This kind of set up in handle is recommended for heavy-duty work. Instead of the regular rivets/pins, the L-Key knot bolt is used along with high standard epoxy to attach the handle scales to the tang. The bond is super strong and will last a lifetime. KHHI is very proud to initiate this type of fixture in the khukuri community (market) for the first time ever.

Lanyard hole in Handle: Small but important feature that comes pretty handy for any users. A see-through hole at the end of the handle is made that allows a leather cord/thong to go thru and the same cord goes around the wrist. By doing so the knife is prevented from dropping even in slippery and wet conditions. Your knife will always be yours within your reach.

Carving in Handle: Extra feature executed to decorate and adorn a kukri/knife. The wooden handle is hand-carved with various traditional designs/patterns by our craftsman. The carving is primarily done for showcasing and beautification of the handle. Various traditional patterns are carved that best suit the particular wooden handle.
NOTE: It's not possible with HORN & Micarta as handle materials.

Cross Badge in Frog: A special add-on that is a part of decoration and to boost the “Gurkhali” touch/feeling as a whole. The legendary cross khukuri insignia of the Gurkhas is mounted on the frog of the sheath to make the overall look of the khukuri more attractive and distinct. This handmade insignia made from white metal can also be used as a wearable item.

Strap Button: A small but smart thing to do that makes carrying so much easy and comfortable. A strap button is fitted in the frog to tie the handle to the frog. This makes the handle stay close to the sheath vertically and thus the kukri does not fall sideways and wobble while carrying. Strap button works the best with the kukris/knives that come with a very heavy handle.

It provides good rest for the thumb so the user gets good balance and control over slicing, peeling, and cutting. The zimping can also be used to bend/twist wires and hard cords, strings, etc.

POUCH
A useful add-on that will protect your beloved kukri and your hard-earned investment. This carrying pouch made from Cordura and pads is made for extra protection for your kukri/knife. It comes handy and useful when you plan to travel a lot with your knife. It is also water-resistant so safeguards your knife against spills, liquids, fluids, etc.

STAND
A perfect method to display or keep your kukri in a safe way. You can either display both the blade and sheath separately OR display together with the blade tucked inside the sheath for safety purposes. A pair of screw is used to fasten the wooden pieces together and can also be dismantled by unscrewing. This whole stand comes flat and hence is very easy to carry or transport. The double mounted stand is handmade by using only conventional domestic tools. It is made from treated wood famously known in Nepal as the “Seesau” or furniture wood commonly.

KYDEX sheath: A very important and useful add-ons to have for any product. It will not only enhance the function and usefulness of the kukri/knife but add efficiency and beauty to the blade at the same time. This hard coated plastic material gives a perfect and comfortable carriage and is completely water-resistant which is its biggest advantage. This type of modern sheath is one great replacement for the traditional and western leather sheath. The Kydex sheath is lighter, less bulky, durable, comfortable to handle, and is compatible with various army/trekking wears and kits. It is available in BLACK, ARMY GREEN, CHOCOLATE BROWN and COYOTE BROWN / TAN colors. Please mention your required color in the "Checkout" page's YOUR MESSAGE field.

Wall Hanger: A small but interesting add-ons that let you hang your knife on the wall or any erect object. To make this buy unique we have used the traditional JUTE thread that is widely used all over in Nepal from plain sides to hilly regions (south to north). Most Nepalese live in rural and the khukuri jute thread plays an important role in performing their daily domestic activities. When you do not have a stand or rack then you can simply hang your knife/kukris where it’s feasible to display or store. It’s a good and safe way to display which also adorns the whole ambient.

IMP NOTE: when you hang the knife/kukri for a long time then make sure the blade is heavily oiled so rust does not develop.

Nepal Flag patch: National flag of Nepal is as unique as its beauty and people. It is the only triangular flag in the world. The flag has upper and lower triangles where the lower triangle is a bit larger than the upper. The color red depicts the victory and bravery while blue color signifies peace and harmony. The moon and the sun are said to be there to express the strong belief that Nepal would last as long the Sun and Moon are up in the sky.

This pride of Nepal has been added in the “Add-Ons” segment to introduce one pride with the other and to further boost the segment. The hand embroidery Nepal flag patch is completely hand sewn and can be stitched anywhere in the hat, shirt, or any clothes anywhere. It is 75 (height) x 45 (breadth) mm approx. in size. It is entirely made from cotton threads. The combination of the unique Nepal flag and the glorious kukri adds beauty, joy, and memory for a lifetime.

We take it as pride, honor, and prestige to carry this keyring in Nepal.

The typical frog in which a user has to take off his belt to take off the kukri/knife is permanently solved by this new Button Frog.

3Ply Frog: An improved frog (belt loop holder) that enables the user (carrier) to carry his kukri/knife in 3 different ways from his waist and hence named as “3ply Frog”. With the frog fitted to the sheath, a user can carry the kukri/knife in vertical, horizontal, and angular positions as shown in the photos. A strap butting is also fitted to the frog to prevent the kukri/knife from wobbling and for comfortable carriage.
