I really wish @Scratch_Point_Z would stop talking about translation when they clearly don't understand the first thing about it. They seem so convinced there is such a thing as an "accurate translation", when every professional will tell you that is definitionally impossible.

People are taking them so seriously, but they are just a random guy who happen to have a lot of twitter followers. They don't understand how translation works. They don't understand that one language just doesn't neatly map onto another.

Every single post by them I've seen is so mind-numbingly wrong about the subject, their takes being applied could actively result in worse, less accurate translations being made. The fundamentally fail to understand how cultural differences need to be bridged.

I don't think what Jellyapocalypse did is right or that Apollo Justice Ace Attorney needed to be retranslated (it didn't), but acting like EITHER of these are a problem with "localization being bad" is like blaming the concept of color for the existence of ugly browns.
