I recently met parents of kids who started to identify as trans. Most were ROGD daughters. But one mother sat there crying because her video game-addicted and socially isolated 25-year-old son had recently decided he was a woman. He will soon start hormones. He thinks he has found the solution to his depression and isolation. And all of society is now egging him on. The family is distraught. While the daughters elicit sympathy and compassion, the image of a porn-soaked transvestite makes everyone shudder. For the sake of that mother and the rest of her family, AGP needs to be understood and treated. Skipping over that part won’t fix the problem.
