Detransitioners are important to listen to and I have great respect for detransitioners who participate in gender discourse. It's probably emotionally exhausting, but they do it anyway because they want to protect other people from harm and suffering. Admirable.

Science is a process that finds out true things. It doesn't require credentials. Whether something is true is separate from whether the person saying it has institutional credentials.

GC feminists often say that "so long as you stay out of female only spaces, no one has a problem", but the last day of silly histrionics has shown that this isn't true! Many of them simply dislike the fact that autogynephilic males exist, and they resent being reminded of us.

I know it hurts to be attacked by one's own political tribe, but apologies will never satisfy the mob. If Genspect can't talk openly about autogynephilia, then it won't be able to help most gender dysphoric boys (or their parents).

At its core, the Gender Critical movement is a female rights movement. GCs sometimes pay lip service to the plight of gender dysphoric males, but such males are not their priority and are not considered in their policy preferences.

It used to annoy me a lot more, but as I learned more I realized it's not personal and also that they genuinely don't think they are lying to me. Their denial comes from a need to protect a part of themselves they love from an idea which they regard as a threat to it.
