About guarantee fees and expenses

  • Q: How much does it cost?
    A
    The recipient will be required to pay a guarantee fee. An initial guarantee fee (equivalent to one month's monthly child support fee) must be paid at the time of the initial contract, and a continuing guarantee fee (*) must be paid at each yearly renewal of the contract. Please note that if you pay the guarantee fee at a convenience store, there is no fee, but if you pay by bank transfer, you will be asked to pay the transfer fee.
    • J-Mirai 10: 10% of monthly child support, J-Mirai 30: 30% of monthly child support, J-Mirai 50: 50% of monthly child support
  • Q: Who pays the initial guarantee fee and continuing guarantee fee?
    A
    The recipient will be responsible for paying the initial guarantee fee and continuing guarantee fee.
    Guarantee fee payment instructions will be sent to the recipient via SMS (Short Message Service).
  • Q: How should I pay the guarantee fee?
    A
    We will send you a barcode via SMS (Short Message Service) to pay the initial guarantee fee at a convenience store. The same applies to the annual warranty fee.
    It is also possible to send the request form by mail.
  • Q: If child support is unpaid, will the continuation guarantee fee change at the next renewal?
    A
    The continuation guarantee fee will not change regardless of the child support payment status.
  • Q: If the amount of child support increases during the contract period, will there be an additional guarantee fee?
    A
    No additional guarantee fee will be charged during the contract period, but at the next contract renewal, a continuous guarantee fee (*) will be charged based on the increased monthly child support amount.

About application conditions

  • Q: Can I apply even though my divorce has not yet been finalized?
    A
    You can apply if there is a written agreement regarding child support.
    However, in the case of "J-Mirai 10" and "J-Mirai 50", a "debt name" is required.
  • Q : Can my child apply even if he is over 18 years old (adult)?
    A
    You can apply. Guarantee is possible up to the age stated in the ``debt name'' and ``documents arranging child support payments.''
  • QCurrently , I have unpaid child support, can I still apply?
    A
    You cannot apply if you have unpaid child support.
  • Q : Can anyone apply if they have the "debtor's name" or "documents that agreed to pay child support"?
    A
    We can only accept applications from those who receive child support. If you are the person paying child support and would like to apply, please consult with the person receiving child support.

About procedures

  • Q : Can I cancel the contract midway through?
    A
    The contract is renewed every year, but it is possible to cancel the contract midway through. However, please note that the guarantee fee will not be refunded on a monthly or daily basis depending on the remaining period of the contract.

  • Q : What should I do when updating?
    A
    You must apply for renewal at least one month before the contract expiration date.
    For renewal, you will need to attach a certified copy of your family register obtained within one month, so please prepare a certified copy of your family register before applying for renewal from here .     After you apply, we will send you instructions on how to pay the renewal guarantee fee, so please complete the payment procedure before the contract expiration date.
    • We will send you a notification approximately two months before the contract expiration date.
  • Q: I would like to use the local government's subsidy system, but can you issue me a receipt?
    A
    Can be issued. Once the contract is concluded, we will send you a receipt.

About warranty details

  • Q: What does "12 months worth of monthly child support" mean?
    A
    This means that if the payer falls behind in paying child support, ``we will make advances until the unpaid amount to J-Lease equals 12 months of monthly child support.''
    The amount repaid by the payer will be deducted from the unpaid amount.
    • (Example) If the monthly child support is 50,000 yen, we will guarantee up to 12 months x 50,000 yen = 600,000 yen.
      If child support payments are delayed and the amount owed to J-Lease is 200,000 yen, the remaining guaranteed amount will be 400,000 yen. At this time, if the payer repays 200,000 yen to J-Lease, the outstanding amount will disappear, and the guaranteed amount will return to 600,000 yen.
  • Q: Can you guarantee that past child support payments have been paid?
    A
    Unfortunately, past unpaid amounts are not covered by the warranty.
  • Q : Can you guarantee marital expenses, property division, and alimony?
    A
    Not covered by warranty.
  • Q: If the amount of child support changes during the process, what will happen to the guarantee limit?
    A
    The guarantee limit remains the amount at the time of the contract (or at the time of renewal in the case of renewal). You can increase or decrease the guarantee limit at the time of contract renewal.
  • Q If I apply for J-Mirai, when will I be able to receive child support reimbursement (guarantee)?
    A
    We will reimburse you (guarantee) from the month the warranty starts.
  • Q: Is there a limit to the number of advance payments?

    There is no upper limit to the number of advances.
    The guarantee continues until child support payments are completed or the unpaid amount reaches 12 months of monthly child support.

    There is no upper limit.

    The guarantee will continue until the unpaid amount reaches 12 months of monthly child support.

About ex-partner

  • QHow will J-Lease contact the former partner (payer) after the payment is made?

    Depending on the situation, we will provide you with information by telephone, letter, SMS (Short Message Service), and visits.
