Hockey Club
About
The Auckland University Hockey Club competes in Auckland Hockey competitions against other clubs in the Auckland region. Last season, we entered 12 teams across all grades in the Auckland winter competition. We are a club which aims to provide a social environment to play hockey, and we run fun events like a Quiz Night and Pub Crawl during the year! Our teams which cater for those wanting a social experience through to competitive players. We play games over March-August at various turf locations around town on weekends, and all teams train 1-2 times per week over this period. Over the summer months (October-February), we typically enter a few teams into the social summer hockey competition at Auckland Grammar School. Key dates
- February - Premier/Reserve team trials
- March - Reserve/Division team trails
- April-September - Winter competition (games Saturdays or Sundays, training during the week)
- October-Feb - Social summer competition (games Wednesdays or Thursdays, no training)
