Remove C:\Windows\SysWOW64\svchost.exe

Hello!

I have a problem with the svchost.exe localised in sysWOW6. My laptop is running at 100% CPU, I scanned it with Malwarebytes, MRT and Kaspersky and I did not find anything... After restarting the computer starts to behave normally and then goes “wild”. How can I delete it? Should I download something else?

Please Help.

Are you sure the problem is with svchost.exe? At any rate, to delete it (I'm assuming a standard Delete key and/or right-click delete didn't work), try downloading the application "UnlockIt" from http://emcosoftware.com/unlock-it . After installing the application, navigate using the locate folder option, and then to the file you want to unlock (svchost.exe). You'll be able to delete the file after you've unlocked it.

Sorry, I did not give the correct file name... It appears in Task Manager as svchost.exe*32 and is it this sysWOW64 file. Is it safe to just delete it?

NO! Its a system file Windows needs to function. If its in task Manager, you can click on it to "end process", e.g., shut It down, but I wouldn't.

Besides the scans you've already run, I would suggest SUPERAntiSpyware (http://download.cnet.com/SuperAntiSpyware-Free-Edition/3000-8022_4-10523889.html). It sounds like you do have either a virus or malware present, but, can you describe a little more clearly and specifically what you mean by the computer goes "wild"? Also, what kind of specs do you have (RAM, hard drive space, etc.)?

Had this problem too. Feeling that someone use syswow64\svchost.exe to get some file form external site that later was used to do some attack on our machines - svchost launched several connections from Explorer.exe that is not usual ...
Anyone got the same problem?
