この度、京都市京セラ美術館で、個展をやらせてもらう事になりました。
展示する作品のほとんどは新作になってます。 2015年森美術館で行った、五百羅漢展で、日本での展覧会は今後は行わないと思ってましたが、 その時の幹事役だった、高橋信也さんが京都市京セラ美術館に移籍して、僕も京都市民となっており、京都をテーマに展覧会、やりましょう！と言う事で、ならば僕も1日も早く京都人にさせてもらいたいし、頑張ろう！と、展覧会やる事にしました。
兎に角新作制作が160点余り。
岩佐又兵衛版の京都の洛中洛外図を私なりに解釈した作品や、京都の街を覆っている陰陽師的な四神を軸とした街づくりにちなんだ、大きな絵と六角堂の部屋、そして、市川團十郎白猿さまの襲名披露祝幕の元絵の展示、そして、尾形光琳へのオマージュ的な絵画など、京都、日本の歴史的な文脈を盛り込みまくった野心的な展覧会です。
そんな展覧会のふるさと納税による御参加、是非ともよろしくお願い致します。

来年の2月3日より、京都市京セラ美術館にて、国内では8年ぶりとなる個展「村上隆 もののけ 京都」を開催いたします。 それに先立ち、この展覧会のチケットを京都市のふるさと納税返礼品として登録することになりました。
これらの返礼品、ただチケットがついてくるだけではありません。NFTアートより派生した、トレーディングカード「COLLECTIBLE TRADING CARD」がふるさと納税限定バージョンで登場します。全12種類で、中には特殊な印刷加工をしたカードなども存在しています。 ふるさと納税でしか手に入らないトレーディングカード、ぜひ手に取っていただきたいと思います。 また、今回の返礼品プランについては、納税額1万円〜最高額10億円（！？）までのプランをご用意しています。

This is Takashi Murakami. I am pleased to announce that I will be holding a solo exhibition at the Kyoto City KYOCERA Museum of Art in February 2024.
Most of the artworks in the show will be new works. After The 500 Arhats exhibition at the Mori Art Museum in 2015, I thought I wouldn’t do any more exhibitions in Japan. But Shinya Takahashi, who was the organizer of the said exhibition, has since moved to the Kyoto City KYOCERA Museum of Art, and I am now a citizen of Kyoto myself. So when the idea of an exhibition on the theme of Kyoto came up, I decided to go all in, eager to be accepted as a Kyotoite as swiftly as possible.
All in all, there are more than 160 new works being produced for the show. There is my interpretation of Iwasa Matabei's version of Kyoto's Rakuchu-Rakugai-zu and a room with Rokkakudō (hexagonal hall) and large paintings related to the city's development based on the four yin-yang-style deities that cover the city of Kyoto. You will also find exhibited my original painting on which the celebratory stage curtain for Ichikawa Danjūrō XIII Hakuen’s name succession performance was based, as well as paintings that are my homage to Ogata Kōrin.
The exhibition is an ambitious one that voraciously incorporates historical contexts of Kyoto and, more generally, Japan.

Starting February 3, 2024, I will be holding my first solo exhibition in Japan in eight years, titled "Takashi Murakami: Mononoke Kyoto”, at the Kyoto City KYOCERA Museum of Art. In advance of the opening, we have decided to register the admission tickets for this exhibition as a return gift for Kyoto City's Furusato Nozei.
The tickets aren’t the only return gifts: among other things, the Collectible Trading Cards that derived from my NFT art will be available as part of the Furusato Nozei return gift. There are 12 types of trading cards in total, some of which are printed with special processes. We hope you will pick up these trading cards, which are only available through our Furusato Nozei initiative.
We are offering a variety of Furusato Nozei plans ranging from JPY10,000 to a maximum of JPY1 billion (!?!). The JPY1 billion plan will allow high school and university students in Kyoto City free admissions to the "Takashi Murakami Mononoke Kyoto” exhibition, and also includes my sculpture Flower Parent & Child as a return gift.
I believe this an utterly innovative initiative for a new form of support for the arts through Furusato Nozei. I hope you will take note of this unprecedented new initiative. *Please note that for the JPY1 billion plan, the actual payment amount will be 1 yen less due to the fact that the portal site setting allows us to display only up to 9 digits.
These Furusato Nozei plans will be posted on various portal sites including Furusato Choice and Rakuten Furusato Nozeil starting 1 p.m. on December 7, 2023, JST. (Plans of JPY100 million or more will only be available on Furusato Choice.) The period and quantity of this campaign is limited, so we encourage those who would like to consider this campaign to do sooner than later.
