Neri Oxman is a fraud and she is not a genius by any stretch of the imagination. Business Insider did the right thing exposing her.

Listen to her on Lex Fridman's podcast. This is called double-speak and it's common with architects. Saying a lot without really saying anything.

Only people who are impressed by SAT words would be impressed (faux intellectuals) with the jargon.
She put all of academia on the offense and academics are certainly imperfect.

But the only people really coming to her defense now are non-academics who fancy themselves to be smart
A lot of work she does can be found in art schools like Royal College of Art.

For years women who were in the MIT Media Lab or at MIT were gaslit. When we brought up any concerns about her to the outside world we were called "haters"

So if I seem emotional and keep bringing this up? it's for a reason so I am actually sorry to get snippy or whiny with anyone on LSA. It's hard to remain neutral. I had supposed white friends who idolize her. I told them the truth and they didn't care because Neri had a Netflix special so she is a goddess.

I am getting emotional because for years people brushed aside my concerns and the concerns of others (these were all white people of course who brushed it aside). It's "oh you're a hater" or they chalk it up to jealousy or women hating women. When I don't throw women under the bus but Neri certainly did.

She is not a STEM professional. She is an architect and artist. The campaigning to "save her" and paint her out as a STEM professional is disingenuous. She was never dating Brad Pitt nor was he interested in her.

Refer to my earlier post. I broke this information about their hypocrisy a week before Business Insider did.

I come from a creative background and I 100 percent agree OP. In these art circles there is a type that is obsessed with STEAM, ie. STEM with art, they make art pieces using pseudo science. They look very smug and say a lot of art jargon that billionaires who want to be cultured lick right up. Their work is thoughtless and annoying just as they are. She fits that to a T.

Let's keep it real. Oxman makes ugly art installations using 3-D printers. Every piece of junk she makes looks like a leaf, piece of coral, or an old piece of pantyhouse blowing in the wind. If she wasn't rich and playing the game, she'd be nowhere. But she's platformed with that TedddTalk speak so we're supposed to be impressed.

Old girl was busy talking money from Epstein and hiding the connection before her nepo baby husband started ranting to reporters.

A meeting with Jeffrey Epstein led to a gift — and, now, regretsBy Deirdre Fernandes Globe Staff,September 13, 2019, 9:06 p.m.

...Among the uneasy questions they say they’re asking themselves: Were they victims? Were they complicit? Did they speak out? Should they have?

Oxman, 43, who is currently on maternity leave, said Ito and some of the brightest minds at MIT seemed to have given their endorsement of Epstein. At the time, she was trying to win tenure in a male-dominated world by showing she could publish significant research, produce enough groundbreaking work, and raise enough money to support the lab’s mission. Oxman became a tenured professor in 2017.

But former students say that Oxman may have been in a better position than most to raise concerns. She was among Ito’s close circle at the Media Lab, she was well-respected by top MIT leaders, and she traveled to Europe and across the country to showcase her work. (A solo show of her pieces will soon be featured at the Museum of Modern Art in New York.)

And at least one student raised concerns to Oxman about Epstein’s ties to the lab in 2017.

That’s when Oxman asked those in her lab to prepare and send a gift to Epstein, according to documents shared by an MIT employee.

A graduate student, seeing Epstein’s name, flagged him as a potential problem.

“Have you read the articles about this Jeff Epstein? He seems pretty shady. . . . Just wanted to point it out in case you weren’t aware,” the student wrote to Oxman, who was in Barcelona at the time.

“Joi and I are aware,” Oxman wrote back. “I’ll share more in person when I return.”

In the e-mail string, Oxman added that “Jeff E.” should always be “confidential.”

But she also told the graduate student “do not worry, we are not sponsored by him, per my direction,” according to the e-mail. Oxman said that she met with and spoke with the student who raised concerns, and she believed that the student was comfortable with sending the gift.\

In Oxman’s statement to the Globe, she said MIT required that Epstein’s gifts to her lab be kept confidential, “so as to not enhance his reputation by association with MIT, and with the understanding that he would not be considered a sponsor of our group’s research or have any involvement in how the funds were spent.”

But the 2017 Epstein episode stuck with the student.....

I'll take this a step further. Oxman worked for MIT and was housed in the Media Lab. (Media Lab was run by Joi Ito, who is a venture capitalist who took money from Epstein for both MIT and his private work.) Grad students complained:

Epstein gave MIT $850K. $525000 went to the Media Lab. But Epstein got with his richy rich friends and convinced them to give "up to $7.5 million in total." That's why MIT and Oxman hide the connection after 2017 knowing full well that Epstein was "convicted in 2008 by a Florida state court of procuring a child for prostitution and of soliciting a prostitute."

It doesn't matter what kind of image repairing podcasts or ugly art this woman makes. This is who she is.

I know I was there and I hope they expose this. They have tried to hide the Epstein scandal but everyone else in the Lab was thrown under the bus.

Who?

Edit: a buzzword throwing pseud who seeks attention by fabricating their life and social climbing and status chasing. Let’s make the word GRIFTER a part of our everyday vocabularies as lay-people so we know how to identify them not give them more attention than they really need.
These Mfs are a dime a dozen

This thread is an LSA exclusive. If you hear it anywhere else, it was started here first
Thank you La MochaCoca. I actually know it is me and a few others who are connecting the dots for people. No one connected the dots about her parents. They didn't know to look for it.
