I have had two replacement batteries inflate because the charging controller goes up to 4.39 volts of terminal voltage. The siop_level file only controls the charging speed. It allows fast charging while screen on. But is there any way to control battery voltage?
Limiting charging to a specific percentage is not so useful in this situation because the faster the battery charges, the higher the voltage goes. It is the rubberband effect. The voltage levels off when the charging stops.
I want the battery to charge fast when it is near empty, for which 4.3 volts are enough.
