Spider Queen

After transforming into your , the stored spiders will travel with you in combat and attack all enemies and camps you are near.

's basic attacks while in deal bonus magic damage on-hit and heals her during combat.

Neurotoxin

fires a toxin at a target enemy dealing magic damage equal to a % of their current maximum health.

For the best damage application against your target, use at the start of a fight. If you choose not to use it at the beginning of champion combat, don't worry, it works nicely as a mid-combo ability before swapping to .

Venomous Bite

| Target Range: 475 | Cooldown: 6 | Cast Time - 0.25 |

pounces at the target enemy with her fangs and bites them, dealing a % of the target's missing health) as magic damage, while also applying on-hit effects at 100% effectiveness.

Using as your combo ender is effective when finishing off an isolated or low-health enemy.

If there are active spiderlings or s nearby, they will dash alongside toward s target and reprioritize them.

The maximum damage against for both and will not go higher than the listed values per rank: 75 / 100 / 125 / 150 / 175 magic damage.

Volatile Spiderling

summons an untargetable venom-gorged spider that deals magic damage to nearby enemies within its target location.

If the spider does not hit an enemy before reaching the target location, it prioritizes champions and gains bonus movement speed based on its proximity to the target.

Using is effective when looking to face-check bushes without vision, avoiding imminent danger.

Skittering Frenzy

| Cast Time: - | Cooldown: 10 |

& her spiderlings will passively gain bonus attack speed, and when activated, gain additional attack speed while in combat for 3 seconds.

Note the bonus attack speed gained from 's active effect will disappear the moment you transform into during fights.

is helpful when looking to reset 's auto attack timer in combat and is a good option for a combo ender.

Cocoon

fires a web in the target direction, stunning the first enemy hit, revealing them afterwards.

Use this ability as your primary engagement tool to dive lanes and go after targets who run away or whom you wish to lockdown for your team.

Rappel

Tips & Tricks:

Playing As :
- is most effective at finishing off enemies with low health, while 's does more damage to targets who have lots of health.
- When in , spiderlings will prioritize the target that uses on
- 's abilities do not cost mana and thus can be prioritized when you are trying to conserve mana.

Playing Against :
- Avoid being at low health when near if you notice her in .
- will only move straight up and down unless she can descend upon an enemy unit.

Jungle Monsters & Pathing

This section will only apply to some champions since they each have different routes that suit their play styles.

So for this guide, I will outline the pathing routes that apply to in hopes of understanding how to make the best impact on the rift.

Camps

Each of the camps listed above is vital for when looking to gain levels, earn gold and maintain resources (health & mana), all of which help you stay relevant in each game as the .

Epic

Always look to secure epic spawns as since each buff provided will benefit you and your team in fights and skirmishes.

The will be available to target after the 20:00 mark, and the will spawn once you or the enemy has acquired the listed soul. Always fight for these objectives when you can.

Standard Clear Routes:

With this standard clear path for , you should aim to hit the at 3:30 since grabbing early scuttle vision can inform your teammates about who is in the river and be aware of any upcoming ambushes. This clear is also very effective at getting a level 3 dive against an overextended enemy.

Full Clear Routes:

With the full clear path as , you have the option to grab the at 3:30 or maximize your experience gain by clearing the remainder of your camps instead, then swing by the afterwards.

is a ganking jungler compared to being a farm jungler, so in most games, we only contemplate doing a full clear if you can't attack a lane after farming your camps.

Securing the early scuttle vision is optional with this clear route since time spent taking the is time wasted on taking all your remaining camps.

If you can acquire at least one after your full clear, that's a bonus for your team on either end of the map.

Summoner Spells

- When looking to remove enemy vision from the map, always consider buying s. This ward reveals and disables enemy vision within a 900-unit radius. s function similarly to the trinket revealing stealth & camouflaged based champions (, , and ) that approach them.

- Grab as your main trinket in the after placing your first on the map. grants you access to vision denial and is excellent when dealing with stealth champions who plant traps such as , , & . Additionally, it's viable against champions who use stealth abilities as means to engage/disengage, such as , , or .

- is your base trinket in all games as , revealing units within a target location. You get two charges that refresh every 240-120 seconds (based on champion level). The max allowable s to place is three. Great when side laning/placing deep vision in enemy territory or on objectives such as & .

Since you're mostly roaming and ganking lanes, will serve you better. It will help when looking to ambush the enemy or secure important objectives, making sure they are vision free and also helps when looking to take the enemy camps while in the fog of war.

Stats To Consider

- Ability Power: The best stat to purchase for , enhancing the effectiveness of all your damaging abilities in combat, making them more potent. Always look to itemize for this in all your games.

- Health: This stat is essential in the grand scheme, but it's not something you need to focus on when playing as .

- Attack Speed: This stat can be helpful as when factoring in her ability. Allows for faster clearing and duelling power while also assisting when looking to run an on-hit build.

- Life Steal: This stat can be potent for . While we don't apply much damage with auto-attacks unless we play with on-hit effects, we can still gain decent healing in combat while in .

- Omni Vamp: Could work in theory, though we only sometimes stay in combat long enough to make it worthwhile.

- Ability Haste: Not an overly important stat to acquire as . This stat helps by granting access to your signature abilities sooner and more often. Look to itemize this in your games when available.

- Armor/Magic Resistance: This stat isn't something you want to think of when playing since her overall durability won't change much in the grand scheme. I recommend buying defensive items if the matchup you are dealing with deems them necessary for survival.

- Movement Speed: More movement means more chances to dodge/kit skill shots and helps when looking to escape fights. This stat is less prioritized in combat for than the others listed above.

Which Boots & Why?

Boots of Swiftness > Slow Reduction
Great for when roaming between camps and lanes or when dealing with slow effects like 's ///, self slows, or movement slow based effects that would leave you vulnerable when trying to escape.

Mercury's Treads > Magic Resistance & Tenacity
help to reduce the effects of crowd control from enemy champions while also offering a small amount of magic resist. Standard choice into teams that are magic damage heavy.

Plated Steelcaps > Basic Attack Damage Reduction
The armor provided and the auto attack damage reduction passive make it easier to soak up basic attacks. Great when facing heavy physical damage teams or auto-attack-centric champions.

Sorcerer's Shoes > Magic Penetration
are the default pair of taken as in the . The 18-flat magic penetration gained from these is very effective when dealing with targets with little or no magic resistance in combat.

While it may not be as enticing to build & on when compared to her usual selections of & , you should still consider them if their situational need arises.

Starter Items

Each jungle pet mentioned below grants early health regeneration while farming our camps and provides the following upgrades when fully evolved:

If we choose , grants increased movement speed when exiting brushes or killing a for the next 2 seconds. It makes travelling from camp to camp much faster, accelerating the ability to set up for a ganking play.

If we choose , gain increased shielding after killing a camp or waiting 10 seconds out of combat for this effect to refresh.

If we choose , we build ember stacks and then release them as % max health damage to the enemy along with slowing them.

As your pet grows (gaining treats from killing ), it will increase the damage value of your charges.

The best way to know which pet is more efficient depends on how you plan to build for each game, helping you have better outcomes in fights and skirmishes.

Mythic Items

After examining each mythic item above, you need to decide which offers the best impact in-game, compared to which mythic best suits in most of her matchups.

Core Items

is what many call the for ability power based champions, and a solid option when playing in the by increasing your overall ability power making you a formidable threat in the later stages of the game. A great item to buy for due to its immense scaling potential for late-game fights.

A very efficient item for that ignores magic resistance (based on the target(s) current health) when hitting them with magic damage. When striking a target affected by a shield, you ignore the max value of magic resistance provided by this item. is great against and bruisers while also being a very efficient magic penetration option.

A good item for in most games, providing you with armor and ability power when fighting auto-attack-based champions such as , or . Also very helpful because of its added stasis effect, getting protection from , & other threatening abilities.

Situational Items

An alternative option for that grants a spell shield that will block the next ability that targets you. An excellent item choice for into champions such as , , & who could inhibit your movement across the rift.

With , you gain added mobility and ability power for use in combat with champions. Great when looking to chase down near-dead targets or when you want to create a quick getaway for yourself.

Similar to , will burn the opponent when hitting them with combat abilities. Though we will gain little value from its first passive (since we aren't likely to build much bonus health), it's still viable for the burn effect during fights and skirmishes.

A spellblade item for that synergizes nicely with her kit since you can weave in auto attacks after each ability. Great when looking for extra on-hit damage, thus increasing your duelling power in fights and skirmishes.

Very potent on , and if the stack counts are maintained, you'll increase your kill potential and make you a threat across the rift. Best when taken in matchups where getting stacks will be easy to acquire.

is your typical grievous wounds & magic penetration option when playing . Helpful against healers such as , or and efficient against healing items such as , & .

synergies nicely with 's & passive, while also granting her auto attacks bonus magic damage on-hit to targets she hits in combat. A very efficient item when looking to clear camps faster and grants additional duelling power.

a healthy option for when looking to slow the enemy after hitting them with an ability or spell. Great when looking to catch an opponent for a takedown or when you need to disengage from them in combat.

An excellent % magic penetration option for when looking for more burst with your abilities. Great into teams who tend to build lots of magic resistance items, such as or bruisers.

Runes

The following keystone & rune choices are great for and will complement her in combat. Always pay attention to the enemy team comp, plus your item builds when selecting your runes to get the most value in each game.

Keystone Runes:

- triggers after hitting enemies three times with a combination of autos or abilities as within 3 seconds. A very efficient option when routinely swapping stances with her in combat.

- provides a soul stack after damaging a target under 50% health (45-second cooldown). Since this keystone stacking is indefinite, the potential to one-shot opponents becomes immense as you reach the late game—an excellent option on when factoring in her high burst play style.

- triggers upon hitting enemies three times with a combination of autos or 's ability (applies on-hit effects), increasing their damage taken for the next 6 seconds. This keystone, in synergy with and , can lead to massive damage in prolonged fights with the enemy.

Domination Runes:

- With deal true damage (based on level) upon damaging a target affected by crowd control (cooldown 4 seconds). Great rune option with champions such as , , & and can also be applied with our ability.

- As , we can trigger s effect after using her and . Once procured from either of these skills, gain additional magic penetration for a short time.

- When looking for more potency in fights, consider , increasing our combat efficiency while giving us a little more burst with each auto or ability. It's an excellent rune choice for any matchup when you run the tree.

- Great mobility rune option as . is an excellent choice for getting to camps, traversing the lanes, and the river while being effective when looking to engage/chase down the enemy or escape combat.

Inspiration Runes:

- allows to delay building boots so you can focus on getting your mythic and core items sooner. Once added, gain extra movement speed in your current pair of boots purchased.

- is reliable for ramping into your mythic/core items, thus offering better duelling potential. Very helpful in matchups where you want item advantages against your opponent to snowball your lead easier.

- provides more access to summoner spells (, ), and item/ward trinket haste. This rune is great when paired with items like or other -related items. Also very helpful for increasing your vision score.

Precision Runes:

- restores a % of your missing max health and provides additional gold per takedown. A great rune option for getting your items quicker and excellent for when looking to recover health after combat.

- helps attack faster, making clearing the a breeze. In addition, the attack gained pairs nicely with , granting more healing from her passive, allowing for more pressure in the .

- The life steal from is low early on but builds up nicely into the late game. A very efficient rune option for to gain some healing in combat. Very efficient when used in the , allowing you to heal from the monsters before the next team fight or skirmish.

- helps to withstand crowd control effects thrown at via champion abilities (, , ) & monster (, ) based crowd control effects, reducing their effectiveness. A very efficient rune option for .

- for offers more damage to champions under 40% health. Strong rune option with for added synergy with & and her overall high burst play style.

- is good against /bruisers, also very efficient against targets with more health than . An excellent rune option when you need more burst damage against champions with when you begin a fight.

Sorcery Runes:

- is another strong rune option for . It grants a nice burst of % movement speed and unit ghosting upon activating your current summoner spells. Another rune option for that synergizes well with & great when you need a quick getaway or a little boost to your engagement strategy.

Note the % movement speed gained is based on the cooldown of the summoner spell used.

- provides more ability haste during fights, thus increasing your damage per second to enemies and objectives. Excellent for more uptime on signature abilities and lets you cast your ultimate much sooner.

- When you need more mobility, take . Helps to increase base & bonus movement speed effects for , making her clears more efficient by getting to camps faster, thus being able to ambush the enemy sooner. It improves the effectiveness of on for better out-of-combat roaming toward enemies or objectives.

- benefits while in the river, gaining bonus movement speed & additional damage based your adaptive type. Great for quickly moving across the river sections of the map & helpful during river skirmishes or objective securing.

- is fantastic for when looking to apply more burst damage to opponents throughout the game. Every 10 minutes, you'll gain auto and ability damage against targets, which scales indefinitely, making you a serious threat to the enemy.

Rune Shards

When deciding on what rune shards (whether offensive or defensive) to pick for in each of your games, you have to factor in a few things in champion select:

Offensive Shards
- Do I need attack speed on my champion? (Autos on are very helpful in spider form after triggering ; therefore, I suggest this in all games, no matter the build.)
- Do I need additional ability power? (We always take at least one adaptive damage shard with .
- Do I require any ability haste? (We tend to avoid this option as since it only provides a little benefit compared to other rune shards).

Defensive Shards
- Do I require more armor? The most common choice when playing .
- Do I require magic resistance? Take this shard when the enemy deals magic damage or into magic-heavy teams.
- Do I require more health? Even though she does not scale with health, a good option for can still be helpful in games with mixed damage team comps.

Always pay attention to the team compositions you are fighting when mixing and matching the rune shards listed above with your & items. It's a sure way to improve your overall survivability in games.
