Dora is a 12 year old female orca who lives at Shanghai Haichang Ocean Park. Little is known about Dora.
Dora was likely captured in 2015. She was captured in Russia. At some point after her capture, she was moved to Dalian Laohutan Ocean Park, along with three other orcas, to be trained for the opening of Shanghai. The four orcas likely moved to Shanghai in November 2018 and the park officially opened on November 16th. Dora is the largest female orca at the park.
Dora gave birth to her first calf in December 2023. Unfortunately, she rejected the calf and it is being hand raised.
