Welcome to the Cogent Communications status page. There is an ongoing outage affecting our leased capacity between Europe and Asia, causing part of our backbone capacity to be impacted. The ongoing activity is an urgent SMW5 cable repair between Matara & Yanbu on Submarine segment S1B. The leased capacity will remain down during the repair operation. ETR 10/30/2023. Cogent management has decided to augment the backbone capacity between both regions. We expect this additional capacity should be ready by the end of this year.
