Bottom - #1.1 Smells
Rik's eyes in this scene just completely break my heart.
(Bottom - #1.1 Smells)
Oh the Holy Lord above me…
I don't know how it's physically possible to be this sexy!
If you want me, I'll be over here melted in a puddle of lust.
Couples and Robbers [July 1982]
Rik plays Morris David Boyd.
Source: IMDb. “Two couples - one with all the riches that dreams are made of, the other with only dreams and schemes - are brought together by the plotting of the poorer couple. A pair of newlyweds wander through the city streets, bickering about their poverty, until they are distracted by the opulent home of a lawyer. Impulsively, the couple makes off with the lawyer’s vehicle for one night of extravagant indulgence.”
I watched this the other day. The image quality is sadly very poor, but it's a really sweet film, and it's nice to see an early version of "serious" Rik.
I really recommend it.
cannot describe how funny this is, I practically had an apoplexy. I don’t think any contemporary performer committed to a pratfall as much as Rik and this has one of his best. Plus, like, absolutely everything else.
I love this interview! Wogan was always really good at interviewing these guys, they could be really silly on his show, but you always got the sense that they respected him.
Rik is also particularly gorgous in this! And that tongue does weird and wonderful things to me...
Night-night, lovelies!
Night, night, sleep tight. Hope the bedbugs do not bite. If they do, do a poo, Put it in a Cornish stew. Into the ambulance, Dring, dring, dring. Fish, trousers, elephant in Peking. Saw a busy bee, diddle-diddle-dee. Daddy's an accountant just like me. Night.night. God bless.
This is how I feel every time I make a gif.
Right before that, Rik had set fire to Ade in what would've been a very safe controlled act, had it not been for the fact that when they tested it he was lying down, but during the act he was standing up and the flames and heat consequently rose upward. He was nearly severely burned.
Decline and Fall: Audiobook [Released 10/12/2007]
Rik reads Evelyn Waugh’s “Decline and Fall”. You can purchase it on Amazon. If you’re stateside, the US store lets you download it for free from a 30-day trial!
If you’re in the US/Canada Audible still offers a free audiobook by signing up with them. Or it’s only $11 for Rik in your ear holes!
This is a brilliantly funny book, superbly narrated by Rik! It's a shame it's only and abridged version, woul'd've loved to hear him read the whole thing!
