Forum: faqs Subject: Legacy archive.org theme removed? (March 15th, 2016).

Why was the legacy archive.org removed?
Why could not just both versions be kept?

The legacy version had angular profile pictures, recent forum posts and much more information on the home page and web.archive.org.

Archive.org excluded itself from being captured unfortunately.

March 15, 2016 was a sad day. What is sadder is the censoring of the accounts that posted opinions against the changes. A number of accounts were locked out of the Archive for what at the time seemed like the impertinence to ask why.

One of those censored accounts did do a save of the old format. It may stay up for a while. I expect to be locked out for bring this up.
