Hello, again.

I have noticed that some items such as YouTube re-uploads are being marked as “noindex”, which means that search engines and the Internet Archive's own search feature will be unable to find those items.

Why are videos being marked as “noindex”?

I am not opposing it, I am just asking why.

The archival would be more purposeful if people could actually find the archived contents.

I will take the liberty to quote Gray:

I guess they've had enough problems with that, this seems to be a recent (2018-2019) change. However, if you use the proper item identifier, "youtube-VIDEOIDHERE" then you'll be able to access the video if you still know the original link / video ID.
