You know, there are a lot of things that you learn from hanging out with sex workers as much as I do. Some of them, such as sexual health and how to do certain moves in the bedroom, are obvious. Others? Not so much.

One of the things that never ceases to shock me is how much sexual knowledge they have that I don’t. (Like when I heard about the penile button? Yeah. Blew my mind, too.)

As many people know, I follow the Fundie Snark world. For those not in the know, this is a community of people who poke fun at the hypocrisy and ignorance that goes on in the Christian fundamentalist and Evangelical circles.

At this point, what I’m going to say is going to be an open secret to many—or at least, a long-suspected trend that many women in the Fundie Snark world have already suspected.

First, let’s talk about the tradwife influencer movement.

Did you see all those new TikTok accounts with women who talk about “serving their husband” while dressed like a modern-day June Cleaver? Tradwife influencers are influencers who preach Christianity, subservience to men, having tons of kids, and also tell women to look pretty while they do all the chores.

“Trad” comes from the word “traditional,” and as you can imagine from the description. While a lot of it is just anti-feminist, nostalgia-through-rosy-glasses stuff, this particular trend is also known for being adjacent to white supremacy, Red Pill men, and the manosphere.

For feminists like myself, we can’t help but eye-roll. It’s like watching the parade of slugs for salt.
