You download the software from the official page and then use the keys when it first opens asking you if you want a trial or already have a key......how is that a virus 🤦‍♀️

Uh no? But there really is nothing to worry about the key you put in is authenticated with VMWare servers and you install VMWare from their official site. I could show a picture of my VMWare being activated though if you really need

can codes have viruses? heard some windows product keys have viruses in them-

The people who got the virus download a cracked windows software and that is why they get it 😊

It's like if you go to a PC store and by a software, they give you a card/box that contains the key made by the enterprise (when they make a software they are constantly making access keys to give the costumers or " physical" or virtual key send by email )

From what I understand, they work because they are Volume License Keys, meaning multiple users can activate with it vs one if you were to buy it or whatever. The exception is if vmware invalidated it but its unlikely cause they are VLK's
