The Maritime Human Resource Institute, JAPAN (MHRIJ), a nonprofit foundation, is currently collaborating with various shipping companies and experts to create educational materials aimed at preventing bullying and harassment on board ships.
These materials are being developed to ensure that seafarers who work and live onboard, isolated from the shore, can perform their jobs and lead their lives in a safe and supportive environment, without concerns about harassment or bullying.
This survey is designed for seafarers currently working at sea or on vacation with upcoming assignments.
Your individual identity will not be revealed through the survey responses.
Furthermore, you will directly submit your responses through the provided link below, so there is no risk of your answers being shared with other crew members, superiors, or your employing company on board or ashore.
And your responses will be statistically processed and reflected in educational materials. The created materials will be published on MHRIJ's website for the purpose of addressing harassment in shipping companies and for related academic use.
However, your responses will not be provided to third parties or used for purposes other than those mentioned above, so please rest assured when answering.
Based on the survey results, we aim to create effective educational materials to prevent harassment and bullying on board ships. These materials will be made available for various shipping companies and all seafarers.
This will contribute to establishing an attractive and proud workplace, where everyone onboard can work and live comfortably and efficiency, embracing diversity.
