Dumble Manzamp Preamp & Odyssey Concert Amplifier w/ Two 2x12 Speakers Built for Eric Johnson #49935

WORKING CONDITION: Excellent - All features and controls are working beautifully. The album-like tone of the amp is immediate and like most Dumble amps, does not require dialing it in. You plug in and you are homeward bound for blissful overdrive and sustain that sounds aged and soulful. It sounds absolutely incredible. In all, everything is fully operational and in excellent working condition. 

PHYSICAL CONDITION: Very Good - There are some minor abrasions around the preamp and control section. The grill cloth on the lower cabinet is frayed and has a few tears in it. We left the tape markings on the preamp from the previous owner. The tolex around the Odyssey is starting to peel as well. Handwritten notes can be found on the back of the Odyssey as well. 

All components, save for the custom footswitch, are all original to master Dumble's handiwork, and no modifications have been made outside of Dumble. The tone section of the Manzamp is "Gooped" in blue silicone but the Odyssey power amp is not. Note that the speaker cabinets are intentionally uncovered without any tolex or treatment. They are just natural plywood. One screw each is missing from the back panel of the 2x12 cabinets. Overall, everything is in great shape and of good solid integrity. Built to last!

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION: This listing is for an extremely rare Dumble Manzamp Tube Preamp powered by a Dumble Odyssey 200W Concert Tube Power Amplifer w/ Two Dumble-made 2x12 Speaker cabinets featuring vintage HiWatt/Fane and Vox Blue Alnico speakers.

The Power amp and preamp were built for and owned by legendary guitarist, Eric Johnson. To what capacity and in what arrangement and configuration Eric used these amps is not exactly known but Guitar Player magazine issued a diagram of how his rig configuration was in a 1996 issue. (See photo)

Note that the Two 2x12 Cabinets were not owned or used by Eric and were later added to the rig by the succeeding owner.
