Jessica Whelchel
Festival MC
A graduate of Orange County School of the Arts in California, where she was named “Actress of the Year.” While performing is her first love, she has spent the last two decades directing/producing/writing dozens of live stage shows, as well as many short films/trailers shown across Japan.

Russell Goodall
Festival MC
A Japanese interpreter / MC / narrator from New Zealand who started off as a TV director, and is today still involved in the TV & film industry. A fan of good films and a true fan of Star Wars since 1977.

Takaki Nakadai
Talk Event Host
Creative operations manager, former brand producer at Sony Group Inc. After working as a cameraman for ESPN, he worked in public relations for various films and is producer of his own short film, "Umishu" starring Akutagawa award-winning author Peace Matayoshi Naoki.

A former member of SKE48 from March 2015 to September 2019, she worked as a weathercaster for Zoom in!! Saturday and is currently active on Zip! And Oha! 4 News Live.

Sayuri Inada
Talk Event Guest
In university she majored in art and was a member of the theater club. After graduation she worked as a movie subtitle manuscript proofreader and later became an independent freelance subtitle translator.
Her major subtitle credits include “The Shape of Water,” “Moonlight,” and “Triangle of Sadness.” She also worked on numerous other films including, “Finding Nemo” and “The Lion King” and Damah Juror, Barry Cook’s film “Walking with Dinosaurs.
