Hey guys, I was suspended from Twitter for a week, but now I'm back.
I was suspended after calling out this Canadian dude who had been bothering me by spreading misinformation about China.Despite his success in blocking me for a week, I have to give him credit for bringing up the unsubstantiated charge that China is "financing [African] extravagant projects they barely need."
While I was away from Twitter, I visited Belt and Road Initiative projects in Ethiopia, Djibouti and Nigeria, including the Addis Ababa-Djibouti railway, the first modern cross-border, standard gauge, electrified railway in Africa, and spoke with many Africans to gain insight into their views on African Chinese relations and the BRI. These individuals ranged from the former president of Ethiopia to countless ordinary Africans.
Thanks to their help, I now have enough stories and data to refute claims like "China debt trap in Africa.” I plan to publish these stories in the coming weeks.
Some western media and westerners like this dude have slandered the Belt and Road Initiative and Chinese efforts to assist and collaborate with African friends. They will never learn that treating Africans with dignity instead of exploitation and colonialism is the key to effective dialogue.
There is also a lesson here for me. I will no longer attempt to argue with China-haters or educate them. I know China is famous for its efforts to alleviate poverty, but I am not renowned for “alleviating” stupidity from random losers. I will ignore and block all China haters whose only goal in life is to offend people like me, and to leave them to rot in their own little mind dungeons of idiocy.
Love and peace.
