A word with Drizzerey
What is your field, and how did you get in?
I am a graphic artist, but I hope to learn how to do animation and comic books. I like trying new things so I don't really have a solid preference. As of late I've been doing more digital related work.Where do you want your Journey to lead you?
My stories being told and heard. I have so many stories and so many ways I think they could be best expressed. It's a long journey ahead of me, but I don't mind. I do enjoy the journey :)What would you like to achieve within the next year?
It's hard for me to make concrete goals because my goals can change in the next few months. As of right now I hope to be closer to opening a shop and making prints as well as maybe get closer to my goal of comics and animation.So far, how have you been developing your skills?
Mostly tutorials and lessons from other artists. I've taken a few classes and only one from college manage to teach me anything. I've learned more from other artists on youtube and my friends.Where does your motivation come from?
My passion for my stories. Before I had some issues regarding this and have been holding myself back due to misguided self criticism, but that is over now and I am more motivated then ever! Where do you go when you seek inspiration?
It depends I guess on my mood, sometimes I go browse art, sometimes I browse youtube for videos, watch movies and shows, books, and even walking around, if I can get around nature that is the best. I currently live in the city so it isn't often.What are some of your favorite artists and genres?
I have a ton, there are so many on Deviantart, Tumblr, Youtube. If I had to pick it would be the artists who are kind enough to impart their wisdom and knowledge on different artistic methods and study. As for the genre I love fantasy most.What are some of your favorite writers and books?
It's hard for me to pick writers because other than 1 book/book series I hardly know their other works. I love Jaws(Peter Benchley), Jurassic Park(Michael Crichton), The Immortal Series(Tamora Pierce), The Demon King (Cinda Williams Chima), and more.What do you listen to?
I have a very eclectic taste but I guess it's between Rock and Alternative, I listen to Rock hits more often than not, some new and throw in a little bit of everything else.What are some of your favorite movies and filmmakers?
I love Steven Spielburg's work he is one of my inspirations. Jurassic Park, Star Wars, Back to the Future, Indiana Jones. There are countless more but I'll stick with my classic favorites.What is your favorite website?
Oddily enough Youtube has become my favorite atm. Deviantart used to be but it's kinda lost it's community feeling, Tumblr get's really irritating and Facebook I feel like I'm not actually connected with my friends like I should be.Leave a message

this Inktober has been a bit stressful, I tried to do the prompts and a theme for the first 12 days, but then I didn't want to draw anymore, and on 16 I wanted only to draw a mermaid witch.
I'm still hella behind but I am going to continue as much as I can cause I am getting better with my brush pen which was the goal for this inktober.

I made this yesterday with a random assortment of markers and stuff and then today I touched it up and edited it in PS and I absolutely LOVE this damn picture. I don't know who this character is but I think I'm going to figure it out cause she just looks awesome and beautiful and I just love her.

Day 3 of Inktober. I had a hard time coming up with what else to draw for Inktober and so I drew a python, which then turned into a dragon....who wanted to dress up for Halloween and became a princess to getss the treatssss :D

Decided to give this challenge a shot, and came up with this adorable idea using Narseakitties :D I love how this came out ^^
I used a combination of watered down caligraphy ink, multi-liners and a white gel pen :) I am probably going to use this challenge to test out different inking methods, may use some markers and other inking like methods.

A friend of mine had asked for a two tailed blue and white fox. Didn't give me much to go on so I went with what I thought she would like. She loved it and I'm so happy with how it came out.

I got rid of the old one, but I fixed all the problems I had with it, making the Angel brighter, color correction on her skin, got rid of some of the rain cause it made the image look pixelly and upped the saturation :) I love this image so much more now.

Finally finished it ^^ decided no on background, SAI went poo poo on me so I decided to simplify it so I can finish it quickly at work. Might keep doing cell shading from now on if I don't do speedpaints or anything like that ;)

My boyfriend had asked me to draw him an ice wolf for his online name. Again wasn't given much to go on so I went with some things I thought he would like, the mechanical arm was an after though cause I couldn't make it look right and it looked robotic to me, so I made a robotic arm. I also tried thin highlights to the shading for the first time and absolutely love how it turned out. He was pretty happy with it too.
