A lucky (now more than ever) couple in Japan recently received a unique, and extremely pricey, wedding gift. As FoodBeast reports, the newlyweds received a bushel of approximately 30 grapes, each valued at about $180, for a total worth of $5,400. These special, "ping-pong" sized grapes called Ruby Roman grapes are only sold in Ishikawa Prefecture in Japan, and are said to be a good luck symbol in the country's traditions. Apparently, FoodBeast continues, the owner of the couple's wedding hall won the grapes in an auction, and "โฆ told the two to savor the grapes' sweet and fresh taste and enjoy the memories they brought."
Makes you want to rethink that registry you just put together, doesn't it?
