In DVDFab 12, the drive updated with MK firmware shows a compatibility dialog and can read the disc, but an error occurs in the middle of the process.
Differences between UHD Friendly drives and LibreDrives
- UHD Friendly drives
use the official firmware of the old version, so only some models made by ASUS/LG are supported. - Since it uses LibreDrive
customized MK firmware, it can be used with some models made by Pioneer as well as ASUS / LG.

Firmware downgrade
Update the firmware of the optical drive after installing MakeMKV Beta .

ダウンロードした SDFtool Flasher と ファームウェアパック の Zipファイルを解凍。
解凍した SDFtool Flasher フォルダ内にある SDFtool Flasher.exe を選択し、コンテキストメニュー から 管理者として実行 。
ユーザーアカウント制御のダイアログが表示されたら「はい」で許可。
Please select a Drive のリストから ファームウェアをダウングレードする ドライブを選択。
ドライブ選択時にダイアログが表示されたら「続行」。
Please select a Firmware to Writeをクリックし、解凍したファームウェアパックからダウングレードするBDドライブと同じモデルのファームウェアを選択。

Confirm that the drive and firmware match and execute with "START".
When the process is completed and you return to the initial screen, the update is complete.
If you lose track of your drive after a firmware update and restarting your computer or uninstalling the driver doesn't help, try swapping your optical drive's SATA cable into a different slot if it's a desktop PC.
