FAQ
Q&A

[I can't wind the bobbin well]
・Incorrect threading may cause the bobbin not to wind properly or not to be wound properly. Thread the upper thread by referring to the instruction manual for your sewing machine.
・Even if the thread is loose, the bobbin may not be wound properly. In particular, be careful to insert the thread all the way into the disk of the bobbin thread guide.
・If the foot controller is inserted into the body, the thread will not be wound even if the start button is pressed. Remove the foot controller when winding the bobbin.
・If you wind the bobbin 5 to 6 times in advance, it will not be wound neatly if the direction is wrong. Check the winding direction of the thread.
・Be sure to use the guide groove when cutting 5 to 6 wraps of thread on the bobbin in advance. When the bobbin is running low on thread, the thread may get tangled and the needle may break or bend.
・If the bobbin groove and the bobbin winding shaft spring are not aligned, the bobbin cannot be rotated properly and the thread cannot be wound. Please set so that the two positions match.
[Needle breaks]
If the needle breaks, the following causes are possible.
・The needle is not attached correctly.
・Needle set screw is loose.
・The needle is bent. The tip of the needle is crushed.
・The thickness of the needle is not appropriate for the thickness and type of fabric.
・The selected pattern does not match the presser foot.
・The upper thread tension is too tight.
・If the thread spool is set in the wrong direction, the thread will get caught in the groove of the thread spool.
・The thread spool presser is not used.
・During sewing, the fabric is pulled forcibly.
・There is a scratch on the inner pot.
・The bobbin thread is floating or twisted and not wound correctly.
・The bobbin dedicated to the sewing machine in use is not used.
[I want to use a foot controller]
・If the foot controller is inserted into the main unit, the sewing machine will not respond even if the start/stop button is pressed because the foot controller is the priority operation. The same situation occurs when winding the bobbin thread.
・When the sewing speed is set to "slow", the fastest speed remains "slow" even if the foot controller is depressed. You can adjust the speed by stepping on the angle, but the fastest setting will be done from the speed setting.
・Reverse stitching is operated with a switch.
[I don't know how to thread the upper and lower threads on the sewing machine]
・Please check the instruction manual and simple operation guide.
[The thread does not pass through the needle even with the automatic threading function]
・Automatic threading cannot be used when the needle is not raised. Make sure the markings on the right pulley are aligned.
・If the needle is not installed in the correct direction, or if the needle is bent, the thread will not thread properly. Check the orientation of the needle and use the correct needle orientation.
[Thread breaks]
・The upper thread may be incorrectly threaded or may come off during operation. Thread the upper thread correctly again. At that time, please be sure to check the detailed precautions etc. by referring to the instruction manual of the sewing machine you are using.
・If you do not use the thread spool presser, the thread may break. Be sure to use the machine that has a thread spool presser.
・If the thread spool is not properly attached and the thread is easily caught in the groove of the thread spool, you will not be able to sew properly. Please set after checking the direction and groove of the thread reel.
・Check if the upper thread tension is too tight, and try adjusting it by turning the upper thread adjustment dial.
・If you use a thin thread for the fabric you are using, the thread will break easily.
・If you use old thread, it may become easier to cut or get tangled due to deterioration of the thread. Please change to a new thread and try again.
[Thread gets entangled]
・The bobbin thread may get tangled if the upper thread is incorrectly threaded or if it comes off during operation. Thread the upper thread correctly again. At that time, please be sure to check the detailed precautions etc. by referring to the instruction manual of the sewing machine you are using.
If the bobbin thread is not sewn properly, there is a high possibility that the top thread is being threaded incorrectly, so please be careful.
・If you do not use the thread spool presser, the thread may break. Be sure to use the machine that has a thread spool presser.
・If the bobbin thread is set incorrectly, the bobbin thread may get tangled. Try setting the bobbin thread again correctly. In particular, when cutting the bobbin thread along the groove with the cutter, make sure that the thread is securely inserted between the leaf springs of the inner hook. Please note that if the hook is misaligned or the thread tension is weak, it will not work well.
・Check if the amount of thread wound on the bobbin is sufficient. If it's running low, wind it up again. If there is not enough thread, the thread tension cannot be adjusted and it may cause tangling.
・If the thread is tangled in the hook, it cannot be sewn properly. Remove the tangled thread and clean the hook.
・Check the mark to make sure the bobbin is not misaligned.
・Check if the tension of the upper thread is weakened and try adjusting it.
・If you use a bobbin other than the one specifically designed for your sewing machine, the bobbin may not move properly and the thread may get tangled. Use bobbins that are designed for the sewing machine you are using.
・If the tip of the needle is bent, the bobbin thread may get tangled. Please replace with the new stylus included and try again. Even bends that are invisible to the naked eye can cause problems.
・Dust or lint may have accumulated inside. Remove the inner hook, remove the dust inside using a cotton swab or the accessory sewing machine brush, and set the inner hook correctly.
・If old sewing thread is used, problems such as tangling of the thread are more likely to occur. If the sewing machine thread tuck is of the "notch type", the thread may get caught in the notch and the upper thread may not be fed properly. Please change to a new one and try again.
[Due to wrinkles on the fabric]
・It is possible that the upper and lower threads were set incorrectly, or that the thread that was put on during operation has come loose. Rethread the upper and lower threads and check. At that time, please be sure to check the detailed precautions etc. by referring to the instruction manual of the sewing machine you are using.
・If the thread spool is not properly attached and the thread is easily caught in the groove of the thread spool, you will not be able to sew properly and the fabric will wrinkle. Please set after checking the direction and groove of the thread reel.
・If you do not use the thread spool presser, the thread may break. Be sure to use the machine that has a thread spool presser.
・If the needle is bent or the tip is crushed, it may cause wrinkles on the fabric. Please replace with a new one if necessary.
・Thin fabrics may wrinkle more easily. Check that the seams are not too fine or rough, and if necessary, put a piece of paper under the fabric and try sewing.
・If the thread tension is not correct, the fabric will be twisted or wrinkled. Try adjusting the thread tension.
・If the needle size and thread type are not appropriate for the thickness and type of fabric, you will not be able to sew well. Use a needle and thread suitable for the fabric.
[The fabric does not advance even if it is sewn]
・The feed dog may be lowered. Check the drop lever on the back side of the sewing machine.
・If the seams are too narrow, the fabric may not advance. Adjust the stitch length.
・Re-thread the upper and lower threads. At that time, please be sure to check the detailed precautions etc. by referring to the instruction manual of the sewing machine you are using.
・The thread may get tangled and clog the hook. Remove the tangled thread and try to set the thread correctly.
・The needle may be bent or the tip may be crushed. Please check the needle and replace it with a new one if necessary.
・The presser foot may be wrong for the selected sewing pattern. Check the type of presser foot.
・If the material you are using is vinyl-coated or other non-slip material, you may not be able to sew properly with the normal presser foot. If the above measures do not solve the problem, please prepare a special presser foot such as a smooth foot (Teflon presser foot) and change the presser foot.
・At the beginning of sewing, the fabric may not sit well on the feed dog and the sewing may not proceed smoothly. In such a case, after sewing one stitch, raise the presser foot, and then advance the fabric a few millimeters to the position where you want the needle to drop, and repeat this process several centimeters. When the fabric comes to rest on the feed dog, continue sewing as usual.
[Thread tension does not match]
・The needle threading may be incorrect. Check the threading method and try threading the upper thread again. At that time, please be sure to check the detailed precautions etc. by referring to the instruction manual of the sewing machine you are using.
・If you do not use the thread spool presser, the thread may break. Be sure to use the machine that has a thread spool presser.
・The bobbin thread may be set incorrectly. Correctly set the bobbin thread again.
In particular, when cutting the bobbin thread along the groove with the cutter, make sure that the thread is securely inserted between the leaf springs of the inner hook. Please note that if the hook is misaligned or the thread tension is weak, it will not work well.
・If the thread and needle thickness do not match the fabric thickness and type, the thread tension will not match. Please double check the thickness of the fabric, the thread, and the thickness of the needle.
・If the presser foot holder is not installed correctly, the thread tension cannot be adjusted. Check the tightness of the screws and whether the presser foot holder has fallen off.
・The thread tension setting may be incorrect for the fabric or thread. Check the thread tension setting by performing trial sewing on the same fabric.
・If you do not use the bobbin dedicated to the sewing machine you are using, the bobbin will not move properly and you will not be able to adjust the thread tension. Use bobbins that are designed for the sewing machine you are using.
[Towel fabric cannot be sewn well]
・Since terry cloth has loop-shaped projections on its surface, it is very difficult to handle. To prevent the loop from getting caught on the thread, needle, feed dog, etc., it will be easier to sew if you put tracing paper or hatron paper under the fabric and sew together.
・Start sewing at a slow speed, and increase the speed while observing the situation.
[Cannot overlock thin fabrics]
Overcasting thin fabrics can be a difficult task. Inevitably, the fabric will be pulled by the thread and wound up.
・Set the length and width of the seams so that they are not too small.
・Change the presser foot to the overlock presser foot, and select the overlock stitch pattern that matches the presser foot.
[I want to sew straight, but I can't get the hang of it]
・There is a grid pattern on the throat plate of the sewing machine. If you place the fabric using this grid, you can sew straight.
・It will be easier to sew if you sit so that your line of sight is straight toward the needle. Be careful not to peek in from the side, or the fabric will bend easily.
・We recommend that you start at a slow speed while you are not used to operating the sewing machine.
・If you use a large piece of fabric, the fabric will be pulled toward the heavy side, making it difficult to sew stably. Be extra careful when sewing heavy fabrics or large fabrics, as it will be more difficult to sew in a straight line than usual.
