We hurt Rumble's feelings with a tweet yesterday. Like a true self-proclaimed "free speech platform," they are now threatening to sue us for our speech.
Rumble is trash compared to Odysee, it is almost impossible finding a small channel there, all Rumble promotes is the big guys and that's it... Rumble is just like YouTube honestly.
I hope your critisizm is taken into account I personally prefer rumble and would like to see it expand. It is clearly the next contender to youtubd. I would like to see odysee and rumble partner vs fighting at the bottom. Youtubd is the real enemy no need to hate those who shoukd be our allies
I don't know how people can stand Rumble/Bitchute. Their UI is terrible and even when you search exact terms it's so hard to find things. BitChute buffering is tragic also. The infrastructure of Odysee is 10x better
They are all trash really. But Odysee is better than most although I believe it's indirectly owned or partially owned by the same people who own screw tube. So because of the individuals who have created all this, I don't see us ever having an ethically pure platform for free speech. Most people, especially those in charge, are just not that ethical or moral.
Rumble is like the right wing version of youtube. i rather stay on odysee. yesterday they recomend me a cooking channel that make really great chocolate fruit cake.

Have seen of few of their postings okay, but like all others I may look at something posted by them, but will never join any other site that I know of, but their is one other that is IMO good people Minds.com too.
You know how Gab has adds, why doesn't Odysee promote the adds that Gab is promoting. The products that Gab is promoting are good and are not from corporations that hate us.

Nobody would be "wasting their resources on legal battles" if Odysee didn't "waste its time" on potentailly damaging claims about their competition. Tell Odysee to not waste time making potientially defamatory claims about competitors, then you can get back to being concerned about "wasting time"
Rumble is trash, it's even worse than BitChute because at least BitChute makes it a bit easier to find smaller creators unlike Rumble that just promotes the big daddies on that website.
Finding channels on Rumble is a pain in the ass because the way Rumble categorizes content is retarded because only a few videos show on each category and it's mainly the big channels. The site itself doesn't look like it's been updated in a long time and overall Rumble just seems as boring and generic as YouTube, what a shame...
Rumble sucks really bad for smaller creators. Trust me, I tried to build my channel there for months. The verification process is painful and lacks tons of features that Odysee has.
They're a free speech platform that wont facilitate free speech. In sueing odysee they will further be suppressing it. theyre basically like russel brand or david martin. Appealing to those who want the truth then giving them a slice of it but not the slice that counts. Go look up Dr Noack if you want the truth.
Rumble is shite for 99.9% of creators. No playlist option. No dark mode. Garbage mobile app. Garbage algorithm for discovering new related channels. It's mostly just a few favored right-wing content creators getting all the views and promotion on the front page, filled in with Viral Hog and Reuters. There are popular youtube creators uploading videos there, but since the algorithm is trash, they get like 50 views on a video, get frustrated, and stop bothering with it.

That platform is dying to regulate speech. it already is actually. I looked into joining it last week. I found it stiff and dull, content-wise. there's also some pretty nauseating Zuckerberg-esque "community standards" language in their regulations section, most of which is very vague and open ended, and predicated on Rumble's arbitrary sense of ethics. They will drop the hammer on anyone's content anytime they want. Community standards are for the inquisition, Torquemada and rumble can suck it sideways. I'm not going to bother wasting my time building a business on a channel that is already wearing an anti free speech jackboot.

Hey Odysee... Ignore bullshit drama please and instead:
Fix the miniplayer (so it can be closed with esc and the videopage can be reopened with the press of a button).
Fix video/comment history to be easily accessible.
Make a separate tutorial category and rename jams music again (because jams suck).
Maybe make the dark theme entirely black (dark purple is fine around comments and such but black background is always better imho. It's "dark" theme for a reason. The darker the better for contrast.
In the long run... Obviously make a phone app (Youtube Vanced would be the one to copy).
I don't see a problem with Jams, it fits Odysee's naming style. The guitar icon is descriptive enough, anyway. But in that case, Movies should be renamed to Flicks.

I just went on Rumble and posted the word "gun" under a random video, with no issues. In which way does Rumble "support censorship"? Give specfic, verifiable examples.
Their app also also has a feature where you watch random videos for at least 10 seconds and like them, in exchange for "tickets" or something. It boosts view and like counts of these videos, even if people aren't actually watching them.
