I am a team specializing in the "Zero Energy Building (ZEB)" of the Institute of Technology, and I am doing research on energy saving and comfort in the office. There are five team members, but each one works with a different theme, and I am doing research on "Biophilia," which is one of the elements of "Wellness Architecture." Both may be unfamiliar words, but what we think of as "wellness architecture" is "a building that saves energy and allows people to work comfortably and healthily at the same time." People relax when surrounded by greenery, right? "Biophilia" is a research theme that uses this mechanism to enhance the comfort of buildings with natural elements such as foliage plants. It is said that 10% of the green that is in the human field of vision is optimal, so it is not enough to blindly increase the amount of green. We are conducting research every day so that workers can spend their time comfortably anywhere in the building.

ABOUT MY WORK About work

MY REWARD My reward
The fun of putting what you propose into shape
At the Institute of Technology, I think about how to proceed with the theme myself, and sometimes I work on solo work.
This may seem like a lonely job, but the theme is discussed and decided by the team, helping the team members research, and going to the construction project site to check the performance of the product. , I have a lot of relationships with people.
In fact, the "Biophilia" I'm working on is also a derivative of an in-house project.
When making Enefis Shikoku®, which is our own ZEB building, we were asked "Is there anything we can do with Biophilia, which is currently attracting attention?" And proposed a facility for growing vegetables in the building. When I think about it now, I think it was a novel idea, but after the completion, I was happy that the people who actually worked grew and ate vegetables, and what I proposed came to fruition. is not it.
Ten to twenty years from now, the scenery of "eating vegetables harvested in the office for lunch" may become commonplace. I work while dreaming of such things.
ATTRACTIONS OF DAI-DAN The charm of Daidan
An environment where there are friends who are close to you
I think the appeal of Dai-Dan is that there are people who will always be there when you are in trouble.
As for the theme I'm currently researching, it was a field I hadn't worked on before, so I was sometimes wondering, "Is this theme really okay?" I think it's a great research. If you don't do it, I want to do it! "
Team members, senior bosses, etc. usually eat lunch while talking about research and spending time together at social gatherings, and there are also opportunities to talk with people from other departments through training and work. It is attractive that people from various positions are closely related to each other and work while backing up each other.
I think it's a good thing that it's easy to take a day off because I can communicate well from usual.
