I got one to today. Absolutely ridiculous. I mean they are botting the bans obviously. They can't be troubled to investigate a real story for god's sake. This freaking company. Been playing 5 years and the is the worst it has ever been. I spend to and largely play solos. So what if I farm and shift stuff around to try out very expensive cards. Am I engaging in the game? Damn right I am. These tools are just unreal.

OopsDom35

Sucks. Like last year. I was planning to give you a few cards later in the year. I'm sorry buddy.

digitalpimp

Their bot detection system is atrocious. I was banned as well some months back. Took them 28 days to reverse it. Multiple emails back and forth.

It’s a first come, first served queue. And with so many undeserved (and deserved) bans to review, it can be weeks before they finally get to your case.

The community should not use the app period. I can tell you why in a longer blurb but just don't use it.

An Example of what you get from EA ..Basically a PFO we don't care about our customers .

My name is Demi with Electronic Arts, and I wanted to follow up on the contact you made with our executive team in relation to your Madden ban. I totally understand your frustration after receiving an unexpected account sanction and your desire to get this sanction overturned as quickly as possible. At the same time, please note that account sanction disputes have to be made through the correct support channels, and we don’t prioritize disputes coming from other escalation channels as a general rule. The 72-hour SLA mentioned by you is given for the initial case acknowledgement, and it may take longer for making a final decision on your dispute if a more detailed investigation is required. Rest assured that your dispute will be reviewed in due course, and you’ll be contacted by our Terms of Service team to inform you about its outcome. As always, if you need any further help with this, you can contact us at help.ea.com. Kind regards, Demi – Executive & Customer Relations EA Help | ea_demi@ea.com

I use the app to post cards all the time. I also play the game. Hopefully I don’t get banned 😂

I've personally gone back and forth on this one, and am still in the middle. By your own words, you "wore the app out" using the Auction House. So, by MUT's - Play By The Rules! did you break them? Yes. Which one?

Don’t abuse or bot in the Auction House
Using bots or abusing the Auction House in any way gives an unfair advantage and hurts the experience for you and other players. It can also negatively affect the affordability of items that are for sale in the Auction House, making it harder for legitimate players to enjoy the game they know and love.

Did they tell you what would happen if you did this? Yes.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I BREAK THE RULES?
We have our rules in place because we want Madden to be the best that it can be for all players. If you break our rules, we might:

  • wipe your MUT Coins
  • limit or remove your eligibility for competitive gaming
  • temporarily or permanently lock your account out of the Auction House
  • suspend your console from playing Madden online modes for a period of time, or forever
  • ban your account.

I understand that ignorance of the rules doesn't mean I can be exempt from the punishments..But its a auction house app correct?I bid on cards n honestly had alot of fun doing so...God forbid I take my own time and grind instead of pay...but I do understand what ya saying

it you start with Silvers or low golds to build up to get "50" players you will appear as if you are buying lots of cards because it takes hundreds of cards to get there if you are doing this on the App and not buying packs. If sets did not take 100's of cards to make 1 player I can see this but the unfortunate reality is EA made sets take hundreds of cards if you choose to buy low and trade up while selling the powers ups along the ways you trade up in many cases lowering the acquisition cost of the card . Every ban I have seen across multiple boards seem to be tied to people buying silvers and low golds to build sets that require 100's to build "50" players .. EA has created this..

Honestly believe their intention with “abuse” of the AH was to stop people from buying up all of one card and marking it up setting their own price. I really don’t feel like these kids buying gold/silvers/fresh players is what they mean to be targeting.

I do this all the time in the AH. How is that abuse?

Every time I hear this story I feel like the poster is leaving something out. Some kind of little detail. If you buy coins from a 3rd party and buy packs and players with it, you're gonna get banned. If you hardly play online, it looks suspicious to them that you might be a coin distributor. It's ridiculous that the YouTuber's aren't being banned for promoting coin sites. I believe using the "creator code" thing is going to be the new norm to drive sales and also increase your pack odds on bundles/packs so in essence, you're gonna have to spend real money even more.

It's going to take a petition or a team of bulldog lawyers to take on a billion dollar company but imagine if you really despised them, how much money everyone could pool together to hire a team of lawyers to sue EA based on how much they spend on this game, haha. If I were a lawyer looking to file suit, it would be for monopolistic behavior, online gambling, and misleading or online tampering use with their "DDA" code. I would also put them on the stand to question on determined difficulty adjustment. Because to me that's a legitimate concern for many, many players. Casual and competitive. I think the NFL needs to strongly consider their partnership here and return back to the days of open licensing.

Before the pandemic, this scenario seemed so far fetched (to sue a company like this over many complaints) but now that millions play video games online, spend money on their game, this industry needs to be looked at with legitimate concern over misuse and abuse. This is people's money they're playing with and that to me is a serious misguided error of judgement on EA and there has to be repercussions for it. That's JMHO.

I uninstalled the app earlier this week. Hadn't gotten any bans yet, but it just seems like a trap to use that thing these days.

EPS1234

I don’t use the app ever unless a card comes out that I think will become more expensive and it’s a must have on my team I never buy silvers or gold the occasional buy one big card is all

PScrabro

I think I heard a ban explanation as " you use the AH all the time and dont actually play the game " Not sure this is fact or not, but maybe someone who knows can chime in for you.

I do that alot that is true..but is that wrong if I'm not buying coins?

Sportsallday

I don't think it's wrong but there's a higher chance you get screwed over. I've done plenty of stuff this year with coins/trading that deserves a ban, but I also play a good amount of games on my main account, so for now, I think I'm good.

brianwc2019

That’s sucks. Meanwhile I used a farm last night to pick up 91 Asomugha for my main. lol

I don’t get why EA is banning people.

I understand if people are cheating. But when people are LITERALLY SPENDING MONEY on the game why are they banning people?

the 17th will be month with no conclusion on my ban or explanation. never had a second account to trade or buy from and spent hundreds of dollars the first couple weeks on points.ive formed a complaint with BBB and they close every new case i try to open to get any type of information

thedrunkgamer

Can’t you just make a new account with a diferent email and user name? It’s starting over but at least you can play again.

ahall520

Yeah I can, but I bought hundreds of dollars worth of bundles and never even as much of traded a card. It was wrongfully taken so I’m either going to get every dollar I spent back or I’m going to get my account back that has and 89 ovrl and 4 million in coins and 30 dollars of points on it

evilfield

I feel you I sent emails to the CEO yesterday I was so Angry

squatnbear

BBB is glorified yelp

ahall520

lol i agree, but if i was as big of a shitty company as ea i would expect to be all over both

voiceovreason

I’ve thought about going the BBB route if I were to get banned. Companies have 7 days to respond (I think). Have you heard anything yet or are you saying the BBB cases get closed?

ahall520

they responded and they did so with asking me to stop opening new cases lol this company is a joke

This is unreal. Sorry man, it should not happen like this.

Thanks

So here is what I cannot wrap my head around. EA is making more than ever on this game, right? Most of the people who play MUT, regardless of coin transferring/farm accounts; still SPEND money on the game. Banning players who use micro transactions to raise EA profits, does not make sense from a business perspective.

futhead_Jterry22

it does if you ban them to make them start over and they spend hundreds again...their business practice is the reason i dont spend any extra money anymore on this game.

After reading all the threads on this it sounds like the amounts and time frame of these low cards being purchased is causing the issue. I use the APP all the time and never have issues. I would recommend purchasing less in a given time frame and then wait before reposting. Silly to have to suggest this but rather stay safe then risk EA banning and going through the joke of customer service that they offer.

I absolutely wore the app put though ...I didn't know this was an issue...at home or lunch break I was constantly buying low golds...still no word from EA

Ya no one really knows but obviously people are being banned. Now you could have done something else I don't know. I know I personally bought 32 of the 82-83 "the 50" cards earlier in the week via the app and was extremely worried I would be banned. Fortunately I was not. The extra stress of this really brings the game down for me and many others. Alot of people also forget EA does not collect/monitor the data on this stuff. They hire an outside firm and just have the bans passed along to execute on.

There’s more to it than this. I trade across multiple accounts and buy everything from the app. I’ve never been banned.

No more than that..I've been doing it for years ...I've never even worried about this..

Busta

Yeah that’s dumb because so many people are bidding on these to piece together 50 sets and TOTW, so of course these cards are going to be bought in mass.

brolybro1333

If this is true, I find it incredible... because on PC (where I play) sometimes I see playbooks that are listed at bid only for 2M, 4M, 3M, 2M, with all the same "time remaining" which tells me that someone just bought like 10M+ coin and more than likely won't get banned. EA's system is crazy.

Right!!!?? If you had a lot of coins and chose to build all the 50 players out how many players would you have to buy? And why shouldn’t you be able to buy them off your phone while your wife uses the tv or your hiding at work. Absolutely unacceptable if this is true

Looks like using the mobile app is playing a big part in getting people banned.
