About everything.txt size #13
Comments
I'm actually about 2/3 done now. That means I've indexed 2/3 of what's been
sent me, which is about 7mil, and that 7mil has been shrunk down to about
3.6mil by removing duplicates. The output .txt's magnet growth is slowing
considerably as finding magnets I don't already have is becoming rarer and
rarer. And yes, my next few steps go like this:
- Finish indexing all magnets into one file
- Clean out any non-RARBG magnets
- Split the magnets into files according to their category (TV HD, TV UHD,
1080p x265, PC ISO, etc)
So the final file sizes will be much more manageable, and more useful for
people who don't care about some of the categories.

Dear author
First of all thank you for your work!
From your readme .txt I learned that you have completed a quarter of the
magnets, which currently have 3,500,000, does that mean there are about
14,000,000 or so for this great work? Would you please put these magnets
into multiple txt files? The existing everything .txt will freeze when it
opens (probably because of my computer configuration), but I think when
your work is over, 14,000,000 magnets are placed in a txt file, then this
txt will be very large, and the average computer will be very stuttering
when opening it.(and may I ask that how many magnets are there in the
RARBG?)
Thanks!

Thank you for your reply, I would like to ask if you can display the size of the file corresponding to each magnet? This will definitely increase your workload, for which I thank and apologize, but with the size of the file, it will be easier to choose between different magnets for the same file. |
I don't have a source for the size of the majority of the files, so I
can't, sorry. Not that I want to anyway. But the resolution and media
source contained in the title of the magnet should give you a good idea.
RARBG is really consistent with that, so a -RARBG movie for example would
probably have a max of maybe five different copies, all able to be
distinguished as different in the title. Take all the -RARBG 1080p BluRay
x265s for example, they're all between about 1.3-2GB, so any movie with
that format you'll know the rough size after downloading just one.
