Hey everyone,I have a ne-tlabel and on the website I've formatted all the album thumbnails to be the width of archive.org's embedded player.

The new player doesn't fit the format of my website anymore, does anyone know if there's a way to use the old "object" embed code instead of the new "iframe" one to embed a music player from archive.org?

here's the site http://www.sasparillarootcoyote.com/music.html

My question and problem is the same. Why there's no option to choose between an old and the new one? iFrame is not suitable sometimes and BTW the old player looks much more pretty.

Yeah I agree - the old one is aesthetically nicer for my use, and I have more control over it. The iframe code just isn't as malleable as the "object" code.

I'm with you guys. I use the old player for my blog site as well, formatted to fit like ryanhammondand's site and the new one doesn't work at all. I really hope there's a solution!

This new format is awful!! This does not work with my blog simply because it is so cumbersome. This is my blog. Check it out. Somebody please fix this format. I was so close to the end.

tack on "&playlist=1"
into the embed url and you should be all set!

eg:

I got the player to be the right size and everything, but for the sake of visual consistency it would be nice if I could have the player look the same as the old player to match all the older albums I host on my site - is there a way to do that?

I get that -- I really do!

I decided to update my own personal site with embed codes to the new ones for consistency (but mostly for the new features like working on iOS etc...)

The issue is I had to pick thru the "skin" options for the player and this was the closest I could find. I then customized it quite a bit -- hacking back in prev/next buttons for when playlists are visible, ans quite a bit more.

So unfortunately its not easy to use another skin (and some dont have all the features we are using -- and there wasnt a closer looking one anyway.

Any chance you can, once comfortable with the new embed codes, update the rest of your older codes?

Sorry dont have a great solution for you!

Yeah, I can update older albums to use the new interface --
I just wanted to be sure there wasn't a way to keep using the old one before
making the change because I'm so attached to it's simplicity...
I think I'm just being stubborn though haha

Thanks for the advise :)

ok, so you have two options:

either tack on "&playlist=1" if you want a playlist to show

*or*

change the height="480" to height="30"

either of those will fix things.
i've updated the "embed codes" for audio to always do height="30" now by default.

I just went to update my blog and the default is still 480. It's easy enough to manually change to 30, but if you wanted to change it you would hear no arguments from me. :) Also, will the player ever be gapless again? I was really bummed when that changed. Thanks again for the solution to my dilemma. Peace.
