The Ver 1.13.0 update on Dec. 6 will include an experimental AI feature based on the Stable Diffusion model.
Celsys has not provided and will not provide any form of user data to train this model.

While we believe generative AI has the potential to become a powerful assistive tool, we would also like to open a dialogue on how AI can coexist with the creative process and how Celsys should approach it.
To do so, we will be providing an anonymous survey after release. (2/3)
As this is an experimental feature, we would like your feedback so we can provide new features (models, authentication, etc.) The feature is likely to change in future versions and will be discontinued in 1.0 after the release of Ver. 2. (3/3)
DeviantART had its platform fried when it added an ai art generator. art twitter and beyond had a collective seizure when the shit started so yeah maybe its not the best executive decision to chase this trend because of a few thousand tech bros who want to call themselves artists
Stable Diffusion was trained on Common Crawl data
It was trained on art without permission or acknowledgement from the artists
I understand the value of it as a tool, but not the way it's implemented
Remove it. NOW. Its an illegal redistribution of other peoples works. You have no right to do this as an ' experement', just as OpenAi and StableDiffusion had no right to package up other peoples art, personal photos, and medical information into this dataset.
here's some feedback: actually listen to your userbase. encouraging use of a rampant art theft tool, even if you're not directly feeding it, is still horribly and actively hurting artists. we don't want this.
have we artists as a community not made it clear enough to literally every other app/site that attempts to implement AI art that we CLEARLY don't want it?
Please do not implement this at all. I will be cancelling my active CSP subscription if this is added in a future update and encourage my fellow artist friends who use CSP to do the same.
our feedback is we would rather stop supporting your program and company entirely if you choose to implement this feature at all. we never asked for this, and we do not want it. remove it.
This is a lifesaver for people including myself who browse pinterest or google images to find a visual or picture to base a background or piece in general off of. Utilizing the 'tool' AI art has the potential of being and focusing on that. Clever clever~
I could name a dozen other tools that needed improving instead of adding in the "steal from the internet" button.
Improve your pose scanner. Better marketplace. Real color mixing. Automated flatting. Western page presets. New type tool that doesn't slow down after a paragraph...
Please do NOT implement this experimental ai feature. Artists are already extremely wary of Stable Diffusion and generative ai art in general, even if used as an aid.
In much the same way as artists’ angry reaction to
My feedback, like many other artists in the thread is: Do not.
Please focus on features that are far more essential like aligning, layer styles & more other than this.
When there is an AI model trained ethically & with volunteered material only THEN can you try to consider.
If you implement this feature experimental or not, I will never pay for anything you ever put out again. I will make it my mission to fully dissuade any new users from purchasing your products and point to this as the reason why.
My feedback? To put this bluntly: You have a other more important features and QoL your team are better focusing on such as Hardware Acceleration, Align/Distribute and a more robust Text/Vector system that allows warping and fills.
Put resources on universally more useful tools.
I am VERY disapointed. A lot of artists, including your users, do not endorse this, and for very good reasons.
Please reconsider. You might loose clients, and us, artists, might loose a very good software.
Y’all all complaining again about infringement and copyright while y’all use these AI websites like nvidia canvas ai and and majority of the assets in csp sometimes claim it as yours. The hypocrisy in the comments section is stinky
They said they would like feedback and this is experimental. To be of use this for reference sometimes. Y’all’s problem is y’all are so quick to jump the gun and assume before anything is officially announced. And csp is known to be vague sometimes in their(cont)
my feedback is that I will refuse to update my v.1 until this feature is discontinued so I don't even have to risk accidentally clicking the tab. even if you can guarantee our art is not being scraped by YOUR software, there is no AI that has an ethically sourced database
You're destroying the good will your customer base had for you, please re-think this. Frankly, the copyright issues with this are too risky regardless, its only a matter of time before action starts being taken for how AI generators illegally use images, dont get caught up in it.
If your sordid idea is "they might like it after they try it", this is testing your trust with your customers. Shame because we used to trust you and you would rather test us than ask our opinion first. Terrible judgement.
wow! when you thought this was it but this was so not it, chief! that ratio is cooking today, huh? XD
like, were you nowhere near the internet during the last few months? did you just not sense the vibe from the artists at all, yknow... your customers?
damn XD
Here's some feedback: you seem really out-of-touch with your userbase. Both the AI art and subscriptions have been LOUDLY decried by the artist community for MONTHS, but here you are trying to push both onto a community that's honestly pretty frustrated
As a long term user and advocate of your software, I urge you to reconsider. For most professional artists the issue does not lie in you wanting to adopt to a new technology to remain competitive , and it is undoubtedly useful for labor intensive jobs such as (web)comics (cont)
DeviantART literally had its platform cooked when the mention of AI was implemented into their system
For the sake of your user base and your program longevity do NOT make this a permanent feature
My feedback: It's getting harder and harder to recomend CSP as a tool for digital art.
I used to be so hyped about sharig CSP with others, but every step you're taking literally it's leaving me wondering if I should switch to another program.
So, no!
