Would you ask, demand that your oponent get defaulted if the person hit is OK and umpire handled it differently? Worthy to mention the oponent only plays doubles and it's likely their only source of income

For starters, she didn’t hit the ball at the ball kid. It was an accident and a bit of common sense should have prevailed. As for the ball kid crying, give me a break

all around the world, whether it be having people chanting your name, idolising you, getting booed at, it’s always going to be a factor in sport. Why are we having so many people complain about it? Also, it’s not about the intent, if you a hit a woman it's criminal.

Think people are more upset about the fact that her opponents were laughing (after profusely telling the ump to DQ them) while she was crying. They lost their prize money and they predominately only play doubles. Pure evil IMO

Regardless of if this was the right call or not, and I don't think it was, players can afford to be more careful with this stuff, anyhow. Roger Federer, notably, often played with fire by zipping balls at ball boys in Australia to test their cricket catches. Mixed results.

re the ball hitting an oncourt "official". Been trying to make that point but most saying oh poor them for the default. You are responsible for actions and control of the ball out of play.
