GlobalGAP, a certification system developed by several major European retailers – formerly known as EUREPGAP – has developed standards for farmed salmon, and is proposing to develop similar standards for farmed shrimp, pangasius, tilapia and others.

But the GlobalGAP standards, WWF claims, would not be credible because they would be managed by GlobalGAP itself, and not an independent third party.
