Umm, anyone a little concerned that Bard is saying its training dataset includes... Gmail?
I'm assuming that's flat out wrong, otherwise Google is crossing some serious legal boundaries.

Thanks for this. So can I confirm that this was a Bard hallucination, and that there's no Gmail data included whatsoever in the training process?

Does it use it by proxy, via ads are based on emails and then the ads words have meta data based on the indexed gmail content, then anonymized? Just wondering…
Why should anyone believe Google when you claim you aren't using gmail data to train your LLMs, given Google's long history of abusive privacy practices and general hostility towards the concept of personal privacy overall?
So the model that's powering Gmail autoreply was forked off and the model powering Bard was completely retrained from scratch excluding Gmail data?
A quick tip: you can leapfrog the competition by allowing the one thing there’s a huge demand for that none of your competitors will touch: ERP. You can literally just do exactly what you’re doing now but don’t lobotomize your AI trying in vain to prevent it and you’re golden.
I don't trust GOOGLE anymore, and most people either, since it takes part in censorship and in the Great Reset. The result will be that people gradually will stop use it and you'll collapse. I've stopped using it already.
yeah we totally believe you that you wont use our chrome gmail etc data to train bard bc it totally makes sense 
Can a claim like this be backed up somehow?

Can I train a local LORA on it using data from only my own gmail and nobody elses?
Sigh. Google, just say "We feel awful about this", and all your problems go away. Try it...it works.
