look man I wanted to save and you can only save indoors :(
Oh, I get it, I'm not trying to poke fun (sorry if that's how it came across). I just think it's really funny how games like this are so willing to just be mean. Like, you don't even get any chance to defend yourself, it just goes "fuck you, you're a slave now." Which also helps to sell the notion that you're a tiny bug person with very little agency in the world. You walk into a different hive, they ain't gonna greet you with open arms.

i feel like it should be known that someone once gifted planescape torment to raocow for some reason. i'd gift him the remaster of romancing saga 1 ps2 for True Pain but >menu command based
I've been toying with the idea of trying Planescape Torment again. I initially dropped it very early because it is hilariously overwritten (I vehementely disagree with anyone who says it's one of the best written games ever) and spends most of its opening dumping literally every little aspect of the worldbuilding on you, which always pisses me off. Just let me explore this world and slowly discover those things, dammit! But after having actually learned more about the Planescape lore from actual TTRPGs, it does sound fascinating, so I'm almost inclined to see if it will do anything interesting with this lore if I stick around with it. It probably won't, is the problem.
If I do return to it, I'll roleplay a clueless rube who doesn't listen to anyone unless what they say is immediately pertinent.
