While the 15W fast charging was highly useful, the throttling of the power throughput to 6W (of which only what's not used by the phone actually arrive at the battery) while the screen is on made it far less useful than it could have been.
I would rather have had constant 10W charging regardless of whether the screen is on than having 15W charging only while the screen is on and less than a third while the screen is off.
Of the 6 watts that arrive at the phone, only what is not used by the device components actually goes into the battery. Some phones like UleFone do the opposite: all the power needed by the phone while it is being charged is pulled from the charger in addition to the power that goes into the battery. In other words, if the phone needs 4 W while the battery charges at 10 W, at that moment the phone pulls 14 watts from the charger so the battery charging speed is not changed by the usage.

I am using it now, very good phone with fast 4GLTE... Just that it get hot quickly when watching movies and playing heavy games... It quit apps itself automatically and said he is overheating... I wonder why... It's an old phone but still Gold... Better than many big for nothing Phones nowadays

As good as new.
Which again proves the point of "planned obsolescence " via software updates.

one of the best phone i have ever had, great job samsung the performance is great the only downside is the battery it drain fast. now it old and and need to replace it with poco m4 pro 5G. i hope it gonna serve me best.

I still own and still use my Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge. A magnificient phone with a great camera. Has never been a problem.
