Gong She Huo Zhe Liu Jian (弓射火柘榴箭, lit. 'Bow-launched fire pomegranate arrow'), also known simply as Shi Liu Jian (石榴箭, lit. 'Pomegranate arrow'), is a gunpowder-based fire arrow that has a barbed arrowhead, which makes extraction difficult, as well as a small incendiary bomb tied to just behind the arrowhead. The incendiary bomb is essentially a gunpowder-filled pouch made of layers of paper as well as hemp cloths, which is then sealed watertight with rosin. It is ignited through a burning fuse, and the fire it generates cannot be easily put out by water.
