All of my extensions just disappeared, and on the Chrome web store, Google suddenly demands logging into a Google account before being able to install extensions.
It appears Google is using a kill switch to coerce users into logging in. Something reminiscent happened on May 3rd, 2019, with Mozilla Firefox, except it was accidential and was fixed the next day. However, it damaged the productivity of millions of users on that day.
I hope I don't need to clarify that the idea that Google can remotely disable users' extensions without warning is appalling. Please remove any kind of glorified kill switch from the browser. Google should never remotely disable extensions whenever it feels like it.
