Can Anyone Tell me , What's the Best Phone ? S10 or Reno 5 ?
I have been using S10 since May or June 2020 as my work phone -- in Europe, so probably the Exynos version. The biggest annoyance for me has been the fingerprint scanner. I nowadays use face recognition, which opens the phone fast, except when using an anti-corona mask :-)
Battery has been fine for me, but then again I use the phone with a minimalist attitude of sorts: Always try to switch off the services I don't use (such as Bluetooth, often location) and practically always keeping a power saving mode enabled. I rarely play games.
How is the battery life on this device? I heard alot of people say that the battery is not good and it drains alot, even on standby.
These are coming from the exynos users.
I can only buy that version, not the snapdragon.

S10 will only get android 12.
But if ur fine with that, s10 is poweful enough imho.
Hey everyone. I am planning to get a new phone and i can't choose between s10 and A52.
They are in the same price range. I want something to work well in the long run. Thoughts?
Need a new phone and right now I'm between an S10 or S20 (don't want an S21 because I need external memory).
The problem is... I can't find the S20 anywhere!! Only S20 Fe and S20+. Did they stop producing the S20? I'm also having a bit difficulty finding S10, but its easier than to find the S20. Should I wait and see if the S20 will come back, or should I buy the S10?

The command line is:
while :; do ( printf 100 >/sys/class/power_supply/battery/siop_level; sleep 10 );done
Only with one ">" !
">" will clobber (overwrite) the file, and ">>" will append to it. In this case, we want to overwrite the value, not append to it.
"sleep 10" means to wait 10 seconds before repeating the command. You can set it lower or higher as you wish, though I have not tested yet how a smaller interval affects power consumption.
== Charge at full speed with screen on! ==
For years, Samsung's annoying charging rate limiting that cut charging speed to half or even less while the screen is on bothered me.
But now, I have found a solution for rooted users:
The system API file responsible for this limitation is /sys/class/power_supply/battery/siop_level , which has the value 100 while the screen is off (stand-by), but the operating system sets it to 70, 50, or even 30 when turning the screen on, which explains why it is 100 shortly after booting, as whichever process is responsible for this has not started yet.
Apply the value 100 to that system file. Make sure your text editor or terminal has root access or it will not work.
The system will set it down routinely, so you can create a loop in a terminal:
while :; do ( printf 100 >>/sys/class/power_supply/battery/siop_level; sleep 10 );done
I hope I could save you precious charging time and make your smartphone experience more convenient!
