We love questions. Questions mean you’re serious.
Each month you'll get a bill for [subscription fee] + [price of session x number of sessions used].
Subscription fee:
On the Starter Plan, there's no monthly subscription. On the Team Plan, the monthly subscription price depends on how many employees are in your team.
Number of sessions used:
On the Starter Plan, sessions are £90 each; on the Team Plan they're £65 each. In the typical case of an employee attending weekly therapy without missing sessions, you’d pay £90 x 4 = £360 / month. We charge for sessions missed or rescheduled with less than 24 hours’ notice because we pay therapists for those hours. If a client chooses message-based therapy instead of attending a session, replies from the therapist are charged as 1/3 of a session, which is how long it takes to write 3-4 considered paragraphs in reply.
Yes. You decide whether each employee can have a max of 8 sessions, 12 sessions or 16 sessions. If employees request more sessions after their allotted course, you can either choose to pay for these or give them the option to pay themselves.
Your card won't be charged anything now; we just need card details to start providing employees with therapy access.
Your first payment will be taken on the first working day of the next calendar month.
Subsequent payments will be taken on the first working day of each calendar month.
No. Spill only works with companies to provide mental health support to their employees.
Not if you choose the Spill Starter Plan, where you can send booking links to specific employees yourself.
But your company does need Slack or MS Team if you choose the Spill Team Plan, as we use a Slack or MS Teams integration to give everyone access to the service.
On all plans:
Spill is fully secure and all therapy sessions are confidential. Video therapy sessions are end-to-end encrypted and all messages to and from therapists are fully secure (they can only be unlocked and viewed by the user receiving them); both take place separately from Slack or MS Teams to ensure they are kept separate from work systems. Both Spill and the company paying for Spill will never be able to access the content of any video therapy sessions.
On the Starter Plan:
Spill admins at the company can see who has used therapy, as this plan involves the admin sending therapy booking links to certain employees and sessions are then billed on a pay-as-you-go basis. Admins won't ever know what users discuss with their therapist or be able to read any personal messages or notes. Apart from sessions attended, the company will only see information that employees specifically opt in to sharing, like feedback comments and mood scores.
On the Team Plan:
Spill admins at the company can see the number of people who have used Spill, but no one at the company will know who has or hasn't accessed therapy, or be able to read any personal messages or notes. Apart from anonymous usage data, the company will only see information that employees specifically opt in to sharing, like feedback comments and mood scores.
All the therapists on Spill are fully qualified and registered (with the BACP, NCS, UKCP or equivalent) and have at least 200 hours of clinical experience. But Spill isn't just a platform that links employees with qualified therapists: we have a pretty intense five-stage hiring process that currently only 5% of therapist applicants make it through. That technically makes it harder for a therapist to get into Spill than it does for a student with top A-Level grades to get into Oxford, as Oxford accepts 17.5% of the best applicants. In short: we take the quality of therapy at Spill very seriously.
