Overview[]
The Zamburak is extremely fast and cheap but has fewer hit points than other cavalry units, and only uses up one population slot. Its mounted gun gives the Zamburak good range, and it inflicts the most damage against heavy cavalry.
Zamburaks are incredibly strong for using only one population, but they are also rather niche in that they only have an attack bonus against hand cavalry and coyote runners. The Disciplined upgrade is required before an attack bonus versus artillery is provided (unlike other ranged-cavalry which intrinsically have such a bonus).

History[]
“ | A zamburak is a small weapon carried on and fired from the back of a camel. The name comes from the Arabic “zambur,” meaning hornet. Before gunpowder, early versions of the camel-mounted gun featured a bolt-firing crossbow that produced a buzzing twang at discharge, which gave the weapon its name. In later years the crossbow was replaced with a small culverin or falconet attached to the rider’s saddle. The zamburak originated in Egypt, and spread to Iran, India and elsewhere. Attempts to adapt the idea to elephants proved generally unsuccessful, as the beasts would not remain steady under intense enemy fire. | ” |

Wait...in this picture, it
showing that the Zamburak use melee attack. My AoE3 version doesn't have this feature, the ranged cavalry units still keep the "firing animation" if the enemies come close (exactly the same as AoE2's ranged units). What happened? Can someone explain this?
P/s: I'm sure this is full version
NguyenAnLam, the Zamburak doesn't use melee mode in close range unless you select the bottom option. See unlike infantry units like the Muskeeter or basically any other infantry, for the Zamburak and Howdah, to use melee mode you need to select the melee option on the bottom right corner with the 2 swords. By clicking this option, the Zamburak will use ONLY melee mode until you deselect the ability, every unit has this.
Next time you use the Zamburak or Dragoon, click on that 2 sword option on the bottom and it will select melee mode.
Strange, my game doesn't have any mode you told me, what??!!
My game doesn't have any tactics mode in the above picture, I really don't know what happened to the game
Did I forgot anything in the setting, guys? I need your help
You should be able to activate the Advanced Formations of units from the Game Settings.
These are easy to micro manage and pretty decent units overall.
Cheap and very fast
The most beautiful unit ever. Did anyone know that the mini-artillery piece was sometimes a Gatling gun?
This is beautiful... and slightly amusing
I think the gattling gun would be a better weapon to use as recoil is a significant problem. The mounting isn't very secure and a powerful recoil could hurt the animal.
So, this was the inspiration to the camel of Metal Slug 2.
You know theres an interesting AOE III Mod called the King's Returns and the Persian civilization features the Gatling Camel its very cool indeed.

That is cool.
Cost and population effectiveness as the same as Dutch Ruyters.
Yup, their only light cavalry that lack of multiplier bonus against artillery.
