Another Blast From the Past — Former CIA Director Mike Morrell Confirms I Was Right

23 April 2023 by Larry Johnson 28 Comments

FacebookTwitterTelegramEmailShare

In October 2020, on the eve of the last Presidential debate, 50 U.S. intelligence luminaries published a letter intimating that the Hunter Biden laptop had all the earmarks of diabolical Russian intelligence operation. I knew it was a lie then and wrote accordingly (see below). But now, thanks to former CIA Director Mike Morrell, we know that the letter was a political op by Clinton operatives working on behalf of Joe Biden.

Matt Taibbi has a superb substack on the latest news. Here are a couple of salient points:

In that letter, which is not easy to find, you’ll see three snippets of dialogue from questioning of Morell, who appears to have organized the open letter. In the first snippet, he explains that the idea originated with a call from Blinken, then of the Biden campaign, and that absent that call, Morell wouldn’t have done what he did:

I

A letter published today (Monday, October 19, 2020) with the signatures of 50 “former intelligence” officials is a self-inflicted wound of comedy and absurdity wrapped in the specious claim of special expertise. Thank God none of these clowns still hold a position anywhere in the national security bureaucracy. Their inability to grasp basic facts and engage in simple reasoning perhaps explains why the Obama team abandoned American military and intelligence officials at Benghazi in September 2012 and why they considered ISIS as “a junior varsity” team.

Basically, this group of mediocrities are sure that the Hunter Biden emails are part of some nasty Rooskie plot:

. . . we write to say that the arrival on the US political scene of emails purportedly belonging to Vice President Biden’s son Hunter, much of it related to his time serving on the Board of the Ukrainian gas company Burisma, has all the classic earmarks of a Russian information operation.

There is only one teeny, tiny problem. They have no facts to back up their deluded judgment, supposedly based on years of experience. Just goes to show that experience without real intelligence is no substitute for competence.

Let us start with the facts that are documented:

1. Hunter Biden signs a work order on 12 April 2019 with The Mac Shop in Wilmington, Delaware to recover data on the hard drive of a Mac Laptop damaged by water.

2. The repair is completed on the 17th of April. Hunter Biden is notified by email and phone that the laptop and hard drive are ready to be picked up. Total cost–$85. Hunter did not respond.

3. In September of 2019, the owner of the Mac Shop talked with his dad about the Biden computer and the fact that it had material that might be relevant to the Ukraine issue. Father and son decided the best course of action was to approach the FBI. The father, who lives in Albuquerque, New Mexico, volunteered to make the approach.

4. Steve Mac Isaac, father of John Paul Mac Isaac, goes to the FBI field office in Albuquerque in mid-September and offers the hard drive and work order to the FBI. The FBI only makes a copy of the work order and asks Mr. Mac Isaac to leave. The FBI volunteers no further actions on the part of the Mac Isaacs.

5. November 2019, the FBI suddenly reaches out to the Mac Isaac’s and visits the shop in Wilmington, Delaware. John Paul Mac Isaac asks the FBI to take the computer and the hard drive. They refuse and leave.

6. Early December 2019, the FBI returns to the Mac Shop and presents a grand jury subpoena for the computer and the hard drive. John Paul Mac Isaac happily surrenders the items to the FBI.

7. John Paul Mac Isaac watched and wondered from December 2019 thru August 2020, expecting the FBI would do something with the information on the computer and the hard drive. But nothing happened. John Paul turned over a copy of the hard drive to Rudy Giuliani’s attorney in early September 2020.

The New York Post stories based on the contents of the hard drive came from Rudy Giuliani and his team, not from John Paul Mac Isaac.

The Director of National Intelligence, John Ratcliffe, declared on the record on Monday, October 19th, that the info on the Hunter Biden computer is not Russian disinformation. He specifically stated that there was no intelligence to support such a conclusion.

Today (Tuesday, October 20) the FBI and the Department of Justice confirmed the DNI’s declaration:

ONE senior federal law enforcement official says:

1-The FBI and DOJ concur with DNI Ratcliffe’s assessment that Hunter Biden’s laptop and emails in question were not part of a Russian disinformation campaign.

2-The FBI DOES have possession of the Hunter Biden laptop in question.

If this was a Russian operation, it would mean the Russians have the most amazing and powerful intelligence capability in the world. Specifically, it would mean the following:

  • If the emails published from the material Rudy Giuliani supplied to the New York Post differed from those on the lap top and hard drive in the possession of the FBI, it would be easy to discredit Rudy. The FBI would simply have to state that no such emails exist on the Hunter Biden computer and hard drive.
  • There is no evidence that John Paul Mac Isaac acted at the behest of any outside power to give the Hunter Biden hard drive to Rudy Giuliani. What we do know is that John Paul Mac Isaac never tried to sell the hard drive to the tabloid media nor did he try to give it to any member of the press. John Paul is a true patriot. He trusted the FBI and thought the system would do the right thing.

So there you have it. Proven liars like Jim Clapper and John Brennan, along with the likes of Mike Hayden, are claiming without one shred of evidence that emails validated by the FBI are somehow a magical Russian disinformation campaign. As I noted at the outset, it would be laughable were the claim not so dangerous to the security of the United States. They are the ones meddling in the Presidential election by using their status as former top intel officials as a platform for spreading a lie about Russian interference in hopes of persuading uninformed voters to accept this mendacity as fact.

This has nothing to do with Russians, except for the millions a wealthy Russian oligarch paid to Hunter. The truth of the matter is the Joe Biden used his son, Hunter, to enrich himself and his family. While Democrats continuously insist that Donald Trump is corrupt and unethical, the Hunter Biden emails provide devastating evidence that it is the Bidens, not the Trumps, who are engaged in corrupt and slimy business deals. Those are the facts.

UPDATED CONCLUSION — John Paul Mac Isaac has filed a defamation suit against Democratic operatives and media who spread the lie that the he was part of a Russian intel operation:

The Delaware computer repairman who blew the whistle on Hunter Biden’s laptop filed a multimillion-dollar defamation suit Tuesday against Democratic Rep. Adam Schiff, CNN, the Daily Beast and Politico, saying they falsely accused him of peddling Russian disinformation. . . .

“After fighting to reveal the truth, all I want now is for the rest of the country to know that there was a collective and orchestrated effort by social and mainstream media to block a real story with real consequences for the nation,” the 45-year-old Mac Isaac told The Post.

“This was collusion led by 51 former pillars in the intelligence community and backed by words and actions of a politically motivated DOJ and FBI,” he continued. “I want this lawsuit to reveal that collusion and more importantly, who gave the marching orders.”

Thanks to Mike Morrell, J.P. now has the proof that this was a conspiracy and that the 50 intelligence officers colluded in that illegal act. I would not be surprised to learn that those intelligence officers will find themselves added as defendants to Mac Isaac’s lawsuit. I am enjoying the irony that the former head of the CIA has now implicated himself and his cohorts in a genuine conspiracy. And this conspiracy is not a theory. It is a fact.

Does it not seem to you to be a fortuitous coincidence that the Hunter (what kind of person names his spawn “Hunter”, anyway?) Bidet laptop saga suddenly got resurrected just as Joe Bidet is supposedly about to announce his decision on whether to run again? Is it not perhaps significant that even with full scale voter fraud Bidet’s chances against a resurgent Trump are fading? Is it not true that many in Bidet’s own DayMockRatIck tribe are not happy about him running again? Is it not possible that the intent is to pressure Bidet into announcing that he will not run? And once that aim is achieved, is it not extremely likely that the laptop will be memory holed again?

I don’t get this urge of these 50 the “formers” to compromise themselves forever for making such statements without actually examining the evidence (laptop) first hand.

Just looking to make themselves available for future sinecures, the unemployable office plankton that they are. They knew the fix was in, so they were aligning themselves with the winning side.

Anyhoo, it’s not like they weren’t “compromised” well before this, so that had no bearing on their decision.

They understood the ways in which Washington works: if they prostitute themselves in this way to get Joe Biden over the line then he will owe them one.

The “urge to compromise themselves” was never the issue here: everyone knew these people were political whores, the only issue that was at stake would have been what price they could extract for “services rendered”.

Some of the videos and photos released show that low life Pedo POS Hunter with what looked like 4 yr old toddlers dressed in lingerie were the most repulsive I’ve ever seen. And all those arse wipes that protected him are no better than him.

From the laptop you and your friends examined, can one verify a lot of things about “extremely dirty (such as corruption, hush money, bribery, dangerous influence…..)” things involving China, Ukraine, etc., etc ?

What is true about the story and what isn’t? Say that they break their necks in court about their abomination ……

        Thank you very much.

Though it’s a fact FBI possessed laptop prior to the Blinken/Biden scheme using, at least, Morell as initial conduit. . . what about reports that the FBI was ALSO investigating this as “Russian Disinformation” etc. . . . are the House Intelligence and Judiciary committees interviewing relevant FBI/DOJ/CIA government employees, past and present, at this time? Is IG Horowitz working on this. . . .And what is Jake Sullivan’s role in this, given he and Blinken are like Beavis and Butt-Head?

This alleged FBI scheme of investigating this as Russian operation reported by Mate, in this vid:

Yes, you were. And you are to be commended. But it does not matter. Let me explain. Joe Biden just won the 2024 election a few weeks ago.

The Democrats won the majority on the battleground Wisconsin Supreme Court. And the US Supreme Court never overrides local elections.

The Chicago Way. You send one of ours to the hospital. We send one of yours to the morgue. The Dem’s are playing the Chicago Way. All pretense of law and the ‘Constitution’ are gone. The Repukes are playing for campaign contributions and to be the loyal opposition.

It’s probably too late, but I have made myself a promise. My birthday is October. No more comments on Facebook, Twitter, or here. It does not do any good. And it makes me a target. Maybe I’ll be moved to the back of the ‘re-education’ line as the election steal goes on.

The Dems are remarkably good at preparing the battlefield. They anticipated the 2016 election perhaps going to SCOTUS like Bush-Gore in 2000. A 5-4 conservative court posed a risk. So on 2/13/16 they got rid of one of the five conservatives. Just a little “wet work”, as John Podesta called it (in advance) in his leaked e-mails. Note to self: never go hunting on a democrat’s ranch. If Obama’s pick for Scalia’s replacement (crooked Merrick Garland) got confirmed, great. If he didn’t, a 4-4 court couldn’t override the democrat-dominated appellate courts (3rd and 6th districts) that oversaw the swing states of PA, OH & MI. They just didn’t foresee a Republican (especially Trump) winning Wisconsin. They stepped up their game considerably in 2020, especially with Zuckerberg’s drop-off boxes and ballot harvesting from old folks – some of whom may even have been alive.

Poor logic, Larry. That Biden is corrupt, does not prove that Trump isn’t. (He is.)

No. ZERO evidence of the Trumps doing what the Bidens have done. ZERO! If Trump had done only a fraction of what Biden has done that would have his ass in jail by now. Don’t let your dislike of Trump cloud your analysis my friend.

Since 2016, Trump has been investigated by the USG — the entirety of its “law enforcement” establishment and intelligence agencies — in addition to several state and local prosecutors. Please enumerate all “crimes” and instances of “corruption” these entities have found.

      I’ll wait…

The centers of legal power in the US are in overwhelmingly democratic strongholds: DC and Manhattan. 93% and 90% democrat populations. There’s your jury pool. Even if there were an honest, nonpartisan prosecutor working for DOJ, there’d be no point in pursuing a case in DC against a democrat. Even if you have rock-solid evidence, a democrat will – at most – get a slap on the wrist. See the case of FBI attorney Kevin Clinesmith who doctored an e-mail about Carter Page to get a FISA warrant and didn’t get even a single day in prison.

For this structural reason, honest, nonpartisan people cannot survive in the US justice system and don’t even try. Even the nominally “Republican” ones are captured. Theoretically, an honest attorney general could bring in his/her own people and pursue charges in less overwhelmingly democrat venue, but “theoretically” means “not in the real world”.

I was once assigned to the VIP presidential security detail for Bill Clinton. Some of Secret Service agents I spoke with had a deep visceral hatred for Hillary. I had that assignment for a few years and got to see the dog and pony show first hand. Money was the motivating factor as far as I could tell. I was in a wealthy geographical area and we always ended up in some VERY rich donor’s home. There is no doubt that my government is filthy dirty and rotting from the head down. I truly feel the American public is completely ignorant by choice. Unfortunately, we are headed to a very bad place in America.
I believe a coming economic debacle is the only thing that will get people’s attention. Like 220 million Americans who lined up like sheep for Fauci’s magic juice, the same sheep will be lining up for the freedom killing CBDC. I wish Russia every success in Ukraine as a way to slow down this Washington DC madness.
    Thank you for your efforts.

Until the politically powerful are held to account, there can be no hope for national cleansing. A democratic republic is likely the worst and most deceitful form of government ever devised. Its weak point is that it beautifully gives the public the impression that they have a real say in government whilst in fact the wealthy and powerful choose the ‘candidates’ and thus hold all the power levers. There is no possibility of reform for the same reason – the rich and powerful choose the agents of ‘reform’ and personal accountability is ultimately destroyed. The best that the people can hope for is that competing powerful elite can hold each other at bay. Without accountability the nation eventually falls into decay, rotting from the inside as the elite rape the people of their wealth and allow degenerative processes to drive the social structure into perversions of all sorts.

Being married to a Russian girl, I know very well what corruption is. And, what is more important, I know that the Russian citizens know it also, BUT the western citizens have no Idea how corruption works! And this, and only this explains why the Russian citizens support Putin, as he slowly but steadily stopped corruption in Russia. And considering that the western people don’t understand what corruption is, explains why they are helpless against this. They are blind!
Russians know for years that the media were propaganda. In the west, people of course believe the press. How can the free western press ever tell the untruth? How can a western politician not work in the sole Interest of his country?

Benghazi, if memory serves, partly can be blamed on sub-subcontracting. USG-BAE Systems-Blue MTN GRP(WALES?)-local militia(Prometheized force). Part of the Benghazi hearings were Kabuki because Rep Mike Rodgers(R-MI) wife Kristi seems to have worked tangentially for BAE on the subconning(I like that word). This also can lead one into REDLINE RATLINE(HERSH/LRB) Actually Musa alSadr was responsible:)

About Larry C. Johnson

I am a bona fide Son of American Revolutionaries. At least 24 of my ancestors, men and women, fought to free the American Colonies from British rule. Some died for the cause of liberty. Though two and a half centuries have passed since my great grandfathers and grandmothers took up arms, the principles they fought for remain valid and relevant to the 21st Century. This blog is dedicated to the pursuit of truth without regard to partisan advantage. I welcome like minded patriots.
