@monsieuricon Not sure about the SSB part, but I was hopeful for their “portable” identities (can move to a different domain while preserving everything else). They seem to have concluded that this requires consensus though…

@monsieuricon While I agree that the At Protocol looks neat enough, is there an explanation anywhere which problem of ActivityPub it is that it solves (or tries to solve)? Just genuinely curious, I struggle to find good info.

@sab the easiest example is that if you decide to move instances, you can't move all your content -- it's tied to the instance where you posted it. Second of easy example is that the admin of your instance can post anything they want pretending to be you, without any way of easily identifying impostors.

@monsieuricon Which SSB is that? None of "Super Smash Bros", "Sonics Silicon Backplane", and "Speculative Store Bypass" seem to fit.
