There are several mobile ports of Higurashi published by Taito of the original games, but also one that ported Kataribanashi-hen in 2010 with a new spriteset by Shuu

i haven't seen this one yet sooo what's the most useless/obscure piece of 07th expansion (higurashi/umineko/ciconia/higanbana/rose guns days/etc) information that you know

Following Deen's anime, there also were several exclusive arcs on mobile, the i-mode arcs Niesagashi-hen and Kokorokuzushi-hen with a new cast in Deen artstyle

In one of Taito's mobile port, two characters got sprites (before never getting any since then): a civil servant by the name Kimiyoshi Natsumi (left), and a cashier at Seventh Mart/Housekeep at the Sonozaki's named Shimiko Makino (right) I remade their sprites for clarity

Another character that's a bit obscure (Karin aside but that's another issue) is Miyabi Saionji, a character that first appeared in Megurimusubi-hen in P Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Meguri, a pachislot, who got a new appearence in Higurashi Mei more recently.

Going back quickly on the i-mode exclusive arcs, while we got some footage of the entirety of Niesagashi arc (although we don't see where all the choices lead), Kokorokuzushi is literally lost media so RIP youtube.com/watch?v=UgxM_f (Since this turned into self-promo, Wakaba Inoue)

This means that technically it'd be possible to make a port of Niesagashi on ren'py with original sprites if: a) I could read japanese / b) OCRing pixel font wasn't impossible But that's just a little dream of mine

Last thing: I am the proud owner of 400+ Rumbling Angel cards, originally designed by Chiyoren (âge, Nitro+, 0verflow working together) which got several collabs. Among those I have a single Higurashi card: Houjou Satoshi There's a collab with this artstyle + one with OG sprites
